Bay Meadow Cottages offers quintessential cottage lodging on Mount Desert Island. Our cottages are gathered on a grassy meadow looking out at a tranquil bay in Salisbury Cove, part of Bar Harbor's popular Frenchman's Bay. Our 13 classic housekeeping cottages are tidy and comfortable. All have private baths; some with kitchenettes, ideal for a couple of nights or an entire week in the Bar Harbor region. Our setting is quiet with a private oceanfront area on the Cove itself for our guests. Chairs, picnic tables, and shared fire pits grace our lawns providing a pleasant setting to enjoy your morning coffee or roasting marshmallows to reflect on your day's adventures. Our cottages are an easy 5 minutes to Acadia National Park gates and just 10 minutes from Bar Harbor's downtown restaurants, shops, tours, and whale watching excursions. Many guests like to bring their own kayak or canoe to launch right from our shore access. However, Stand Up Paddleboards are available to use on a first come first serve basis, to be used on site. Don't forget bikes to tour the 45-miles of carriage roads of Acadia National Park and the surrounding area.

Office Hours: 8am to 5pm.

SELF CHECK IN FACILITY:
You will find your key waiting for you just inside your cottage after 3:30.
Please review your confirmation for your Cottage name.
Once on property, you will find the cottage name posted just to the left of the entrance door.
You will also see your parking spot right next to your cottage. :)
If you find yourself here between 3:30-5 pm pop into the Barn Office, we would love to meet you! Otherwise we will catch you the next day.
We are in the office from 8-5 pm every day.
Heads up: Your WiFi password and our Emergency phone # will be located on the rack card next to your key...

No daily housekeeping, however we are on property from 8-5 every day and would be happy to provide additional trash bags, coffee, soap/shampoo and clean towels/sheets if needed.
Emails are not sold & will be used to send out information to our guests, guest can opt-out of Newsletter at any time.

Payment Policy

Full amount is due at time of reservation.

Cancellation Policy

Reservation must be re-rented for days reserved for refund, less a $50 administration fee per cottage. No refunds will be issued for late arrivals or early departure. We have a 95% re-booking track record if given greater than 7 days notice.
