Bickerton Poacher Bed and Breakfast

Pub Restaurant with Rooms in the Heart of Cheshire. Set in the rural countryside located on the Sandstone Trail and centrally located providing a short driving distance to local towns of Chester, Wrexham, Nantwich and Whitchurch. Good food served all day, every day from 8am.

We offer seven comfortable and traditional letting rooms, Double, Twin and Family rooms range in price from £70 to £105 including breakfast. All of our rooms are strictly non-smoking. Ideal for romantic breaks, family stays and business travellers.

Terms & Conditions

Full Payment is taken at the time of booking with your chosen payment method (credit/debit card or PayPal). We will issue refunds if you cancel your booking no later than 48 hours before your check-in date.

Check in is from 2.00pm. We cannot guarantee rooms before this time. Should you arrive before 2.00pm and your room is not ready, your luggage can be stored at Reception and guests are welcome to wait in the bar and lounge area.

Check out is by 11.00 am and guests are required to have kindly vacated their room by this time. Special arrangements can be made for later check-outs, however these are subject to availability and a possible additional charge. Requests for a later check out should be made at the time of booking or upon arrival and is subject to availability of the room/s.

Family rooms offer accommodation for up to 4 people. Our family rooms are set-up as sleeping either three people (1 double + 1 single bed) or sleeping four people (1 double + 2 bunk beds); The layout of all our rooms can be explained over the phone and is described when booking online.

We regretfully do not offer bedrooms which are specially adapted for customers with disabilities. Most bedrooms are located on the first floor and can only be accessed via a single flight of stairs. We do have one room on the second floor, only accessible via a second set of stairs. We politely ask any guests with disabilities or hearing impairments to make us aware of any reason in the event of fire evacuation you may require extra assistance.

All of our rooms operate a 100% no smoking policy throughout. Smoking in a bedroom or anywhere else inside the premises will result in a £200 fine which will be charged to your payment credit/debit card.

All seven of our bedrooms operate a 'No Dogs' policy, with the exception of guide dogs.

Car Parking. Parking is free of charge to all customers and guests. Residents may park in either off road car parks subject to availability. Vehicles and their contents are left at the owner’s/customer’s own risk. We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage.

The Bickerton Poacher will make every possible effort to ensure that our guests' special requirements are met, however all rooms are subject to availability. We apologise in advance if your particular requirements cannot be met.

We would like to ensure that all our guests' stays with us are peaceful and enjoyable. We politely ask all our guests to respect each other's stay with us. We may ask you and/or any member of your party to leave immediately if your conduct is considered by us to be inappropriate, likely to cause harm or discomfort to other guests or our staff, or is likely to breach this term/policy. No refunds will be given in these circumstances. We have the right either during or after your stay to recover from you the costs of any of the following: any compensation we may pay to others, including our guests; any property or accommodation damage; any other charges, fees, or levies we may incur resulting from your action or inaction and from any breach of this policy. Please note that by staying with us you agree to abide by the terms of this policy

Payment Policy

Room prices are per room, per night and are inclusive of VAT. Rates are based on up to two people sharing one double/twin room. Family room rates variable based on occupancy.

Full payment is taken at the time of booking with your chosen method. We accept most major debit and credit cards. We do not accept American Express.

PayPal is an accepted form of payment.

Your booking will not be accepted without a full payment either through this website or booking via telephone.

Cancellation Policy

The cancellation policy requires all amendments and cancellations to be finalised 48 hours prior to the booked arrival date. Any changes following this time will result in 100% of the payment being retained.

All amendments and cancellations must be made by calling us directly by telephone on 01829 720226. We will then arrange the processing of your refund.
