Blairscove House is situated on the picturesque inlet of Dunmanus Bay in West Cork on the Wild Atlantic Way. Not touched by mass tourism, it appeals to visitors who want to get away from the madding crowds, yet desire premium facilities in terms of service and food, with home from home comforts in terms of welcome and accommodation.

Around the courtyard of a Georgian House, beautifully restored with cobbled paths, shrubs and flowers, are the restaurant and four stylish suites or small apartments which can be rented on a B&B or self catering basis. Formerly a piggery, coach house and servants quarters, each suite is individually and very lovingly decorated with a quirky mix of contemporary and antique furnishings.
We also have another holiday cottage on Dunmanus Pier in West Cork, just 9 miles from Blairscove, in the direction of Mizen Head, again on the Wild Atlantic Way driving route.

The restaurant, on one side of the courtyard quadrangle, used to be the property’s stable building. 300 years old it is lofty, stone walled and black beamed with a magnificent chandelier as the central feature.

This beautiful part of West Cork is the perfect holiday destination for the discerning individual traveller and people travelling along the Wild Atlantic Way. A place not touched by mass tourism, it showcases the best of Ireland’s unspoilt beauty. Blairscove is ideally based for touring all the tourist attractions West Cork has to offer. There may not be much nightlife but beautiful walks on the Sheepshead and Mizen peninsulas are more than enough compensation.

PLEASE NOTE THAT BLAIRSCOVE RESTAURANT IS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS & MONDAYS (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MAY, JUNE & AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAYS)

B&B Terms & Conditions:
Rates are in Euro per room per night and include room service breakfast.
Check in after 4.00PM, check out at 11.00AM
Upon making a reservation we will ask you for your credit card details in order to guarantee the room.
We recommend that you take out travel insurance.
We reserve the right to charge your card for any damage done to your room during your stay or for any items missing when you leave.

Self Catering Terms & Conditions:
A non-refundable pre payment of 50% of the full stay will be charged to your card to secure the reservation.
The final, non refundable, payment is due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
Check in time is 4pm, check out time is 10am.
All rates are in Euro per unit per week. Blairscove self catering is for a minimum 7 night stay. Dunmanus Pier is rented from Saturday-Saturday only.
Electricity, gas, oil and telephone are not included.
Bed linen, towels and all other household linens are included, except beach towels. Weekly exchange of linen on request.
On departure, the house, equipment and utensils must be left in a clean and tidy condition.
All waste, properly sorted for recycling, has to be deposited in the appropriate council containers.
All furniture has to be back in its original place and all kitchen equipment such as oven, microwave, fridge must be cleaned before departing.
In order to insure this we will take a security deposit of €200.00 upon arrival. The house will be checked after your departure and this deposit refunded if there has been no loss or damage and the house was found in good condition.
Cots have to be reserved at the time of booking.
No pets allowed, except in Dunmanus Pier and this only by prior arrangement.
All damage caused by pets is the pet owner’s responsibility. Pet fouling has to be removed by the pet owners.
Occupancy per house higher than the number of beds is not permitted.
Non compliance will result in the loss of reservation and deposit.

Cancellation Policy

B&B Cancellation Policy:
In case of cancellation or change of dates of less than 48 hours before arrival, the first day will be charged in full. In the case of ‘no show’ you will be charged the full amount of the stay.

Self Catering Cancellation Policy:
All self catering payments are non refundable in the event of cancellation.
