Brewers Lodge

Originally a 16th century farmhouse, this friendly country inn is set in its own grounds, overlooking the small town of Blackwood, near Newport, with the Brecon Beacons within easy reach. Pengam Train Station is 2.7 miles away and there is a bus interchange just 0.5 miles away.

There are 15 modern en-suite rooms, each with satellite TV. WiFi access is available throughout.

Brewers Lodge was once owned by the family of the infamous Captain Henry Morgan.

Just a short distance from some of the region’s most beautiful woodland, the lodge is nevertheless within easy reach of the cities of Newport, Cardiff and Bristol.

Brewers Lodge is a non-smoking hotel. A charge of £100 will be applied to the room bill of the registered guest should deep cleaning be required due to occupants smoking in the room.

Check in 3pm - 9pm Check out - 10am.

Full payment is required at the time of check in and all reservations require credit card details to be held on file for the entirety of the stay. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy.

Early check in and late check out is available on request and is chargeable.

We welcome children but there is no capacity for extra beds or cots in any room. Anyone under 18 must share a room with one full paying adult.

Maximum capacity - Double room/Twin room 2 persons (including children Single room - 1 persons.

Rates are room only.

Free WiFi is available throughout the building.

We do not accept any pets in our accommodation.

The hotel reserves the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage to the hotels property or guest rooms. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, the hotel reserves the right to make a charge to the guests credit/debit card provided.

Parking is free - no need to reserve.

Please hand in room keys to reception on departure. Any lost room keys will incur a £30 charge.

As we consider guest comfort and safety as our highest priority, the hotel will not allow visiting hotel guests in their guestrooms without prior notice and hotel guests approval.

***PLEASE BE AWARE - our hotel rooms are situated above a bar, restaurant & function room that cater for weddings/parties, we may play music up to around 11pm and our usually closed by 11.30pm***
