LA VILLA BARCA
High above the valley forests bordering the endless Ligurian mountains, the magnificent mansion, “La Barca,” was built by a squire and royal tax official at the end of the 18th century. Even though mules are no longer used to access this special place as in the old days, the destination still promises solitude and and a deep connection with nature. Presently, the most beautiful parts of the villa make up the three special suites of the B&B, “Casa Carpe Diem,” offering you a true and historic Ligurian experience.
Each suite provides the opportunity to leave your everyday life behind and enjoy peace and tranquility without giving up modern amenities and comfort. For the adventurous the area offers a multitude of activities starting right at our doorstep.

Terms & Conditions
Casa Carpe Diem is an adult only, non smoking and no pet resort
Check-in / check-out
Check-in time: 2pm – 8pm (If you are arriving after 8pm, please call to advise us of your arrival time).
Check-out time for guests and their cars is at 11am. Late Check-Out may be arranged if available.
Parking
We do offer off-street parking with a limit of one car per room. Parking your car at the Casa Carpe Diem B&B is at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for damages inflicted to your car while staying at our guesthouse.
Minimum Stay Requirements
In spring and autumn we request a minimum stay of 2 nights.
During the summer season the minimum stay is 3 nights.
Payment Policy
The Covid pandemic has created a lot of doubts when it comes to planning vacations. At VILLA BARCA we are happy to offer RISK-FREE RESERVATIONS without any deposits and/or cancellation fees as long as travel restrictions are in place!
Our regular payment policy:
All rates are subject to change without notice and include applicable room taxes and fees. Rates are quoted in Euros (€) for single or double occupancy of a suite per night.
- A 30% deposit is required for all stays of 2 nights and longer.
- 100% deposit is required for one-night stays.
We accept payment by Visa or MC for deposit.
The balance of the total stay is due upon arrival by Visa/MC, Traveler's Checks or Cash.
Cancellation Policy
The Covid pandemic has created a lot of doubts when it comes to planning vacations. At VILLA BARCA we are happy to offer RISK-FREE RESERVATIONS without any deposits and/or cancellation fees as long as travel restrictions are in place!
Our regular cancellation policy:
- For reservations cancelled or amended more than 28 calendar days prior to arrival, the deposit will be refunded minus a 10% cancellation fee (at least 25€ per room).
- For cancellations made between 27 and 7 calendar days prior to arrival, 50% of the total charges will be applied.
- For cancellations made less than 7 calendar days prior to arrival, no show or shortening of stays*, 100% of the total will be charged.
* No refund for early departures.
