Terms & Conditions

General

Check - in time is from 2pm – 5pm every day. Anything after this would be a self-check – in with codes sent via email or message. Please let a member of staff know this before arrival if you will be arriving after 5pm so we can arrange for the codes to be sent to you.

On Arrival we will be asking to see ID – ID will then be added to our system and be deleted 1 month after check – out.

Mandatory that all group bookings will have to have a credit or debit card present on their booking during their stay.

Check out time is 10am, We ask all guests to strip their own beds (leave the mattress and pillow protector on) all items must be out of dorm rooms from 10am.

Bike Storage – Secure bike storage is located inside the hostel. Please use the side entrance when bringing bikes into the building and follow the corridor to the right where the bolted white door states BIKE STORAGE.

If you are bringing a car, please vacate car park no later than 11am – leaving your car longer will result in your car being clamped and a charge to remove.

Once you have checked out the hostel, we ask all guests not to return, this includes to use the toilet, showers and communal areas. staff will be coming in to do a full clean of the hostel for other guests arriving.

All group bookings will be asked to fill out a rooming list prior to arrival, this should include everyone in your group that is staying at Denton house.

Pets
We don’t allow pets unless agreed upon request. A charge will be applied for bringing a pet to the hostel.

Bookings

Guests may book in advance or on the day. Rooms are subject to availability. All group bookings will be required to make a non - refundable 50% deposit to secure the booking. remaining balance will be due 3 months before arrival this can be paid Directly with us or BACS.

The balance of the booking price shall be paid no less than 3 months (12 weeks) before arrival. Should you fail to make a full payment by the due date then Denton house shall be entitled to cancel the booking and retain any monies paid towards the Booking.

Once full payment has been made for your booking we will not be able to refund any monies back. if needing to reschedule your booking this can be arranged with a member of staff and will only be accepted if possible.

Amendments
Your booking cannot be amended unless confirmed by an authorised representative of Denton House and yourself.

Hostel Rules:
• No excessive noise in dorms or corridors after 10pm
• Do not prop open fire doors
• Any damage or unnecessary cleaning will incur a charge (£100+)
• Please turn of lights in communal areas and rooms when you leave them.
• If you are bringing children to the hostel, they need to be supervised 24/7. Ball games are not permitted on the car park – due to being next to a main road and could damage cars parked in the car park. Main kitchen is also out of use for anyone under the age of 16.
• When returning to the hostel after a long day of activities, please remove your boots before entering the building.
• Please remember to close coded doors at night time
• No smoking / vaping anywhere inside the building, please use designated smoking areas.
• We utilise CCTV in all communal areas throughout the building for your peace of mind.
• Take away food to be eaten in the dining room and NOT in dorms.

Call the mobile number on the office door / main door if there are any problems – we’d rather know so we can sort things out than find out afterwards when it’s too late.

Anyone behaving offensively to other guests, staff or members of the public will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Excessive alcohol consumption, drugs, violence, vandalism or inappropriate behaviour towards any guests or staff will not be tolerated.

Data protection

• All information we receive on your booking, eg – card information / addresses. This is kept highly confidential and isn’t accessible to anyone apart from office staff.

Emergencies

• In the event of a fire, please evacuate the hostel to our meeting point, this is located outside by the small gate in the car park. We will then have a list of all guests in the hostel to confirm everybody is safe.
• If you are in a large group, we need to know the exact amount of people who are staying.
• Call 999 and the emergency staff number.

Fire extinguishers are provided at all exits and in higher risk areas (e.g. the kitchen). Fire exits and escape routes are clearly marked. We have a comprehensive alarm and emergency lighting system. All fire appliances are regularly checked (extinguishers and alarm weekly, emergency lights monthly) and maintained and we have regular contact with the local Fire Officer.. Denton House has a Fire Certificate.

Dispute resolution

• We take complaints very seriously here at Denton house, if you face any issues during your stay, a member of staff will be able to help solve these issues.

Behaviour
If your behaviour is deemed to be unacceptable or causes damage your booking may be terminated and you may be asked to leave Denton House premises. No whole or part refunds will be made under these circumstances.
