The Fitzpatrick Hotel, which is located on the Courthouse Square, was originally constructed in 1898 and served the thriving county seat of Wilkes County until 1952, at which time the hotel and dining room were closed. After 50 years of neglect, the hotel was purchased by the Fitzpatrick LLC in 2002. An intensive restoration plan culminated with the re-opening of the grand hotel in June 2004. The Fitzpatrick Hotel is a fully restored, historic hotel located in lovely, downtown Washington, Georgia, between Athens and Augusta. The Fitzpatrick Hotel features 17 finely appointed guest rooms (with private baths) that allow guests to experience luxurious accommodations reminiscent of another era, while providing all the modern amenities guests have come to expect. Inside and out, The Fitzpatrick Hotel today looks much like it did when it opened in all its grandeur at the turn of the last century. We would love for you to be our guest.

Check in begins at 3pm EST. Checkout is at 11am on your checkout date.
Our lobby is open for check-in until 5pm Sunday-Thursday and until 7pm Friday and Saturday. Check-ins after those times, will be set up as a self-check in.
We are a smoke-free facility and any smoking inside of the hotel of ANY kind is prohibited. Guests who are found to have smokes in their room(s) will be liable to pay a cleaning fee of up to $500.00.
Should there be any damage to the room itself, furniture, or other contents within the room, guests will be liable to pay a damage fee of up to $500.00.
Should there be any inventory or contents missing from a room after a guest has checked out, the guest will be liable to pay a replacement fee of up to $500.00.
Guests who are found to have popped confetti cannons and/or champagne in their rooms or on hotel property, will be liable to pay a cleaning fee of up to $500.00.
Pet Policy: There is $25.00 per night non-refundable fee for APPROVED pets. Should the room be left in certain condition, there will be a pet cleaning fee of up to $500.00. This fee can be combined with ANY damage fees that may be included should the pet become destructive. Any non-notification of a pet, will lead to additional charges. We ask that you do not leave animals unattended in the room(s), especially loud or disruptive animals, that is disrespectful to all other guests and will be a violation of our pet policy.
Lost Keys: Subject to a $100.00 replacement fee.
Noise: We ask that you respect other guests by limiting noise made after 10pm.

Card must be put on file, you will not be charged until day of check-in.
If the booking is cancelled before 10:00 OM at least 7 days (1 week) before check-in, the account will be charged a $25.00 cancellation fee. If the booking is cancelled within 7 days (1 week) of the check-in date, the account will be charged 100% of the total cost or the charge for the first night if the reservation was for more than one night.
There is a 30 day (1 month) cancellation policy in place for high season/special events like the Tour of Homes, Master's Week, Weddings, etc... If reservations are cancelled within that one month time frame preceding the event, then the account will be charged for 100% of the total cost or the charge for the first night if the reservation was for more than one night. No refunds will be given for guests who pre-paid once within a month of the event unless the room can be re-rented ($25 cancellation fee still applies).
