Welcome to the S.L.umber Yard! These thirteen, brand new, high craftsmanship cabins are a
cozy, intimate setting to relax and make new memories with loved ones. Book a romantic
weekend, family reunion, staycation, or host your whole wedding party in one place. With an
exterior of recycled wood and luxury on the inside, this is your sanctuary in the mountains. The
experience begins with complimentary drinks at check-in and a customized high altitude goodie
basket in the room. Enjoy a record player with an album library, curated bookshelf, and local
artwork on the walls. All races, religions, and LGBTQ+ are welcome here.

The cabins serve as a base camp for exploring the Rocky Mountains. Enjoy cross country skiing
and fat-tire biking on the Mineral Belt, steps from FREIGHT. The Mt. Elbert trailhead, the
highest fourteener in the state, is eleven miles away. Ski Cooper is fifteen minutes down the
road, dogsledding is a ten-minute drive. The heart of downtown is a three-block walk, one block
from the Colorado Southern Passenger Train Depot. Leadville is two hours from the Denver
Airport.

Terms & Conditions

Check-in time is 3 pm-8 pm. If you need to check-in outside of these times, please call or text our office phone at (719)-293-1053. Check out time is 11 am. Unless you need anything else, you may leave your key in the cabin and lock the cabin door as your check out. Please contact the office if you have needs outside of these hours.
Free parking is available to all of our overnight guests.
Our cabins have a policy of No Smoking. If you are found to be in violation, you will be assessed a $200 fee. We do allow dogs with a $35 fee.
Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a minimum charge of $10 and may take up to 30 days to receive. We apologize for any inconvenience. To avoid this, please be sure to thoroughly check your room for items that are of value to you prior to your departure.
Damaged or missing items from rooms post check out will be charged to your card on file. These include but are not limited to linens, pillows, mugs, room keys, books, etc., Please inquire if you have any questions or concerns about this policy.

Payment Policy

We ask for a card to hold and confirm your reservation, but do not take payment until check-in.

Cancellation Policy

As we are a small independent business, cancellations affect us greatly.
Therefore, if there is no notice, or a day of cancellation you will be charged the full amount of your stay.

There is a 50% charge of your booking for cancellations made at least 14 days before check-in. Anytime before the two weeks of your check-in date, if a cancellation is made, there will be no charge.

If COVID is the cause of your cancellation, we will dismiss any and all charges.

All cancellations must be alerted by phone or email.
