TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All services are provided by Glencanisp Lodge, Lochinver, By Lairg, Sutherland, Scotland, IV27 4LW “The Lodge”

Assynt Biz LTD is a trading company owned by the Assynt Foundation Ltd.

Please carefully read our cancellation and payment policies to avoid charges.

Very occasionally we may need to cancel or amend your booking. We will however use reasonable endeavors to try and re locate any confirmed booking cancelled by us to an alternative location in a similar standard to the Lodge.
You have the right to:
Accept the changed arrangements as notified, or
Cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies you have paid to the Lodge in respect to your booking (please note that the Lodge is not liable for any sums paid to any to any other person in connection with your booking and has no further a liability arising out of such cancellation)
Your booking is for a class of room in the lodge and does not guarantee that you will be able to stay in a specific room or in the same room for the duration of your stay. If you have indicated a preference for a particular room, we will endeavor to honor this preference. However we may need to allocate an alternative room to you due to availability, operational restriction or safety reasons. If we need to move you to a different room during your booking for which a lower rate is available that the rate you have booked at then we will refund the difference.
ADVERSE WEATHER NOTE
If your travel plans are affected by adverse weather conditions, please see our policy for changing or cancelling a booking. You can speak to a member of the team at the Lodge 01571844122. Wherever possible we will try our best to move and accommodate your booking.
PROMOTIONAL AND VOUCHER CODES
Only 1 promotional code may be used per reservation. All offers are subject to availability and at the management’s discretion. The Lodge does not accept liability for incorrect offers and terms being stated on external voucher code websites and cannot be held responsible for the accuracy, content or availability information about the Lodge or the company that may be found on third party websites.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Check in time is from 16.00hrs – 18.00hrs. Guests delayed during travel or plan on arriving outside of these times, must contact the lodge so that arrangements can be made.
Check out time is 10.00 hrs

Please note the lodge does not have a manned reception, therefore we strongly suggest you do not arrive prior to check in tie as there may be no one around to welcome you until 4pm.

PETS
We allow well behaved dogs in specific rooms in the lodge. This MUST be agreed before arrival. Please call the lodge directly on 01571844122 to arrange.

PARKING
Cars, vehicles and their contents are left at the owners/customers own risk.
We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage.

CHILDREN
All children (a person under 16 years of age) staying at the Lodge must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised by an adult at all times.
DAMAGE
We reserve the right and hereby authorise us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Lodge during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave.

ACCESSIBILITY
The main entrance, reception toilet, guest lounge and dining room are all on the ground floor and are all fully accessible. We have one guest room which has disabled access. Please contact one of the team on 01571844122 to discuss your specific individual requirements and the availability of appropriate accommodation and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

GUEST BEHAVIOUR
Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and to comply with these terms and conditions /and or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property of the Lodge, its employees and guests and their health and safety. Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests the smooth running of the Lodge or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff.
We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the Lodge, if in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to be breached. Where this is the case the Lodge shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation other services or any loss for expense incurred.

NO SMOKING
Under Scots Law; it is illegal to smoke in any part of the Lodge and guests are not permitted to smoke in rooms or public areas. If traces of smoking are found in your room on departure there will be a minimum charge of £200.00 will be added to you bill or charged to your credit card.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Lodge will not be responsible for the loss or damage to any property left in the lodge other than as required under the Lodge Proprietors Act 1956 or any other applicable law.
The Lodge will not be liable for any indirect consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit good will or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of the Lodge, its employees, contractors, agents or otherwise) The Lodge’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges received by it under the contract formed by the booking under these terms and conditions.

Guests can explore all parts of the Lodge grounds. The lodge cannot take responsibility for use of the Loch and asks that guests sign a waiver that confirms that guests understand and take full responsibility for ANY activity on or near the Loch out the front of Glencanisp Lodge.

CONDITIONS OF WEBSITE
The Lodge has made all reasonable efforts to ensure that all the information provided through the web site and other publications on the internet, is accurate at the time of inclusion. However there may be instances where information becomes out of date or inadvertent and occasional errors including typographical errors for which we apologize. It is always advisable to check specific details that may be relevant to your booking prior to making the booking.
The Lodge reserves the right to amend or remove information at any time without notice and does not accept responsibility for keeping copies of any amended or deleted information.
Any special offers or price discounts online are subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other or discount.
The Lodge reserves the right to change or cancel special offers and price discounts at any time.

GENERAL BOOKING TERMS
Unless otherwise stated prices on this website are “per room per night” based on two people sharing a twin or double room and in some circumstances with a minimum stay.
All prices shown on the web site are subject to availability, apply to new bookings only and cannot of be used in conjunction with other offers. These offers are subject to change without prior notice.
All prices include Value Added Tax at the current rate and are subject to change without notice, but with the exception of errors we will not increase a price once it has been confirmed. Availability of rooms at the rates shown on this website may be limited and/or restricted to certain periods.
Under the Hotel Proprietors Act persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult i.e. someone 18 or over
The Lodge reserves the right to amend special offers as appropriate.

COMPLAINTS
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your stay, you should bring it to the attention of duty manager or senior member of staff at the Lodge as soon as is reasonably possible so that all efforts can be made to rectify the situation.

SCOTS LAW TO APPLY
The construction validity and performance of the contract formed by a booking made under these terms and conditions is governed by the Law of Scotland and the parties to the jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.

Payment Policy

When making a booking your contract will be with the Company.

To secure your booking details a valid credit card will be taken.

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, Solo and Diners but no Amex cards.

No payment is taken until you depart from your stay, or you cancel within the terms and conditions of our cancellation policy.

Dinner, drinks or any other added extras will be added to your bill and payment can be made by cash or card on departure. The lodge reserves the right to and you give permission to charge the card provided for any bills that are not settled on check out.

For all group bookings and exclusive use bookings a 20% deposit will be taken at time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

Failure to observe the Lodge’s cancellation policy will result in charges being made.
For B & B guests, cancellation with less than 72 hours’ notice you will be charged 100% of the value of your booking.
For Group bookings and Exclusive use bookings a non – refundable 20% deposit will be taken at time of booking. Cancellation of group or exclusive use bookings can be made up to 30 days prior to booking without incurring any additional costs other than the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations with less than 30 days’ notice will result in you being charged 100% of the value of your booking.
The Lodge reserves the right to charge the card up to 100% of the reservation value if the terms and conditions are breached.
We will do our best to apply any necessary changes to bookings but please note that an administration fee to do so may apply.
