All persons entering these premises, or using any amenities or facilities on these premises, do so entirely at their own risk and subject to the following conditions:

These premises are private property and the owner, manager and/or operator of these premises reserves the right to refuse admission or entry to any person. These premises may be monitored by CCTV surveillance.

The owner, manager and/or operator of these premises, amenities and facilities and its directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives do not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury or death of any person or the loss or destruction of or damage to any property, whether arising from fire, theft or any other cause whatsoever and by whomsoever caused or arising from the negligence or gross negligence or wrongful acts or omissions of the owner, manager and/or operator of the hotel or its directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives.

Guests will be liable for any and all damage caused in their room or the property during their stay. It is advisable to not move any room, deck or balcony furniture without consulting the staff. Any furniture that has picked up damage as a result of being moved around, the guest in question will be liable for the full cost of repair for the item concerned.

All Valuables and Cash should be safely stored in the rooms safe at all times. The owner, manager and/or operator of these premises, amenities and facilities and its directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives do not accept any liability whatsoever for any valuables or cash going missing from guest rooms, bags or luggage. Guest is responsible to ensure their room doors, windows and sliding doors are closed and locked when not in the room. No refund and or discount will be offered in the event when guests claim money and or valuables stolen.

No parties, events or gatherings allowed. No exceptions. Guests in breach of this golden rule will be asked to leave the property. No music on Bluetooth speakers will be allowed anywhere in the property.

Guests are responsible to ensure they look at the correct descriptions and photos during the booking process. No refund. discount or upgrade requests will be entertained for guests claiming to have seen or booked something different.

Check out is strictly at 10:00.

Houghton View 13 reserves the right of admission and may ask any guest to leave the property without a refund should the The owner, manager and/or operator of these premises, amenities and facilities and its directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives find it appropriate to do so.

Payment Policy

All reservations has to be confirmed by either credit card details or EFT payment at least 60 days before arrival.

Payments made into the wrong account will result in a 10% service fee, which will have to be paid before a check in is performed.

Cancellation Policy

Guests can cancel free of charge until 60 days before arrival, unless a non-refundable policy was booked in which case the booking is non-refundable irrespective of the reason for and duration before cancellation.

Houghton View 13 will not allow any free cancellations or date changes under any circumstances however severe they may be for bookings made with a non-refundable policy. This policy is chosen by guests during the booking process, out of free will with the terms clearly displayed prior to booking and there for the full terms and conditions for this policy will be in force once the booking is made.

The guest will be charged the total price if they cancel in the 60 days before arrival.

Cancellation needs to be submitted in writing to manager@houghtonview.com. Wherever there is a refund of funds due such refund may take between 7 and 21 working days to be processed. This processing time is at the bank and Houghton View 13 is unable to speed this process up.

Date changes on Bookings is only allowed within and in line with the cancellation policy. Date changes on non-refundable bookings or for bookings outside the cancellation window is not allowed.

Reversing a payment with the bank which is under a cancellation policy constitutes fraud, as the terms and conditions act as a binding contract and the property will endeavor to issue the banks and authorities with the accepted terms and conditions to ensure the reversal is not approved. We will also take appropriate action against guests requesting reversals against the binding terms and conditions.
