Terms & Conditions

Payment and Cancellations - Cancellation of or changes to your reservation must be made in writing (e-mail or fax is acceptable). If you cancel more than 120 days before your scheduled arrival, 20% of your total rental fee will be retained by the Owner and the remainder will be returned to you. If you cancel 120 days or less before your scheduled arrival, 100% of your rental fee will be retained by Owner. No-shows, late arrivals, decrease in number of persons, or early departure for any reason, including but not limited to inclement weather or illness, are non-refundable. Owner recommends trip insurance to protect Renter against loss from such events. This contract becomes binding when first rent payment is paid. Failure to make any rental payment when due will subject your reservation to cancellation

Damage Security Deposit - Damage deposits are fully refundable within 21 days of your departure, pending there is no breakage, damage, missing items, long distance calls charged to the house phone, or additional clean-up necessary due to your leaving the property excessively dirty. You hereby agree to pay the owners the cleaning or replacement costs for any and all damages to the entire property which may occur as a result of you or your guest’s occupancy, excluding normal wear and tear.

The property is fully furnished, including a complete supply of bed linens and towels. Beach towels are provided. Bath towels are not to be taken to the beach. Beach chairs are provided. Patio furniture is not to be taken to the beach. Locked closets and pantries are not included in this rental. You as the Renter, agree to take all reasonable steps to ensure that your family and other guests in your party follow the rules and regulations outlined in this document.

Capacity of House – The total number of persons allowed in the room at any one time is restricted to the number of persons scheduled and paid for in the reservation. If you wish to bring additional guests, please request this in writing and we will revise this agreement. Additional charges may apply.

Complaints and Maintenance - The owner will make every effort to keep the premises and inventories in good working order. In the event, there is a maintenance problem; they will strive to repair the problem as soon as possible after being notified. No refund or rate adjustment will be made for unforeseen mechanical failures such as the supply of electricity, water, air conditioning, telephone, television/cable service, appliances, etc. It is the Renter’s responsibility to report any problems or damage immediately to the local property manager.

Rules -- The Guest may not use the Vacation Rental Estate for any purpose other than a private holiday residence, engage in any illegal or dangerous activity and abide by all of the laws of the Bahamas. The Guest shall be sufficiently quiet and peaceful, so as not disturb other neighboring homes. Guest’s and their additional Guest’s may not host an event, such as a wedding or venue, involving more people than previously scheduled and paid for, without written consent from the La Bougainvillea, Ltd., "Owner" . Pets, smoking and bonfires are absolutely not allowed. Please do not leave any standing water, or open food in the house; insects will be attracted to this. Please turn off all lights, A/C’s, fans, and television before leaving a room. Do not leave any fire/BBQ unattended to. Do not throw any lit matches or cigarettes into the brush or vegetation; it will start a wild-fire. Please do not jump or dive in to the pool. Do not leave any children unattended at the pool or beach.

Hold Harmless -- You and any guest with you hereby release and agree to hold La Bougainvillea Ltd., its officers, and employees harmless from any claim, loss, damage, or cost expense of any person occupying or visiting the accommodation arising out of personal injuries, including any caused by persons or carriers conveying passengers to their villas, going on tours, renting gear that may cause accident or death. La Bougainvillea Ltd. is not responsible for any personal property, which the client brings to the estate, loss or damage, any act of God, natural disasters, war, strikes, government, or any other event acts or cause beyond its control. In the event of any dispute, this rental agreement is subject to the laws of the Bahamas, and if necessary will be settled in the Bahamas. Guests understand that their is no life guard at the pool. They agree to be responsible for their children around the pool. They agree to not partake in any dangerous activities nor consume drugs or alcohol and use the pool. The prevailing party will recover its costs, expenses and attorney’s fees.

Payment Policy

50% due at booking with an additional 50% due 60 days prior to booking.
