The Mangrove Lodge, a welcoming atmosphere for an enchanting Eco-friendly resort in Zanzibar.

We are a family operated local business with a touch of Italian style, tuned with a responsible attitude and focused on the respect of Haji's home village, the lodge's owner community and territory. The Lodge is an exotic gem in the countryside of Stone Town next to the Spice Farm area, with only 10 independent rooms set in 5 double bungalows and hidden by a tropical lush garden. Few meters from the bungalows, a beautiful quiet sandy beach perfect for swimming and indulging with drink in the colours of the sunset reflecting into the calm blue pristine water of the Indian ocean. Delicious and genuine food and beverages are served at the thatched restaurant and chill out area, overlooking a pretty mangroves bay.

Payment Policy

The guest will be charged a prepayment of 30% of the total price anytime after reservation.
Balance Payment upon arrival at the lodge.

Online payments are accepted with preferred payment method.
Paypal and credit cards are accepted (6% surcharge). Cash payment in Tanzanian shillings, US Dollars, EURO, GBP.

Cancellation Policy

The guest can cancel free of charge until 30 days before arrival.
The guest will be charged 30% of the total price if they cancel in the 30 days before arrival.
If the guest doesn’t show up they will be charged the total price.

Grace Period: No fees charged for bookings canceled within 24 hours of booking.
