Whitewater Lodge
** We are happy to be re-opening our lodge starting June 2, 2023 for Friday-Sunday until September. We've made many changes to make sure your stay is a safe and comfortable as possible. Please note the following changes for summer 2023:
-No in room housekeeping provided during your stay
-Check out is 10:00 a.m. and check in is anytime after 4:00 p.m.
-All rooms will sit empty for at least 24 hours in between stays
- Hot tub is open!
Whitewater Lodge is a quiet bed and breakfast tucked away in the forest on the edge of Golden, British Columbia. Relax in the gardens with a good book, curl up by the fire, enjoy a board game with friends in the guest lounge or soak in the hot tub and take in the view of the surrounding mountains.
Our quiet hours begin at 10 p.m. so our guests are not disturbed late into the night and may enjoy a restful evening. Our guests often tell us they have the best sleep of their entire holiday here with us!
We do have a friendly dog on the premises. She lives with us and spends most of her time outside. She has never been in the lobby, dining room or any of the bedrooms. All rooms have always been pet free.

Terms & Conditions
Each room can accommodate a maximum of two adults. The rooms are cozy, but they aren’t huge, so there is no space for additional guests in any of the rooms.
There is no TV in the rooms. There is a TV in the shared common room.
Whitewater Lodge is an adult friendly bed and breakfast. The minimum age to stay is 14 years old. We are not able to accommodate any little ones.
Check in is between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. If you are going to be arriving after 8:00 p.m. please call us so we can let you know about our self check-in arrangements.
We take all payments for the night by 8:00 p.m. If you’re arriving after this time we will charge the credit card we have on file for the full amount of your stay.
Quiet hours start at 10:00 p.m. We are a quiet bed and breakfast suited to travellers who are looking for a peaceful, mountain holiday. If you’re coming to Golden to party please find another place to stay.
Check out is by 10:00 a.m. Checking out after 10:00 a.m. may result in additional charges.
Breakfast is served daily between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and the dining room is only open during this time. Please let us know of any allergies or special dietary requirements at the time of booking.
Cooking is not permitted in the rooms or anywhere on the premises. Fees will apply if this policy is ignored.
The outdoor hot tub is open daily until 10:00 p.m.
Pets are not permitted to stay in the lodge. We do have a friendly dog on the property, though. She lives with us in the owners suite and has never been in the bedrooms, dining room, lobby or common room.
This is a non smoking building and smoking is not allowed anywhere inside or near the lodge.
Please note that Golden, B.C. is in the Mountain Time Zone (same as Alberta). Lots of rental cars will switch at the border, but this is wrong. We’re the last town in B.C on Mountain Time.
Please inform Whitewater Lodge of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the 'special requests' box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Payment Policy
We only accept MasterCard or Visa for credit card payment.
Cash and debit are also accepted upon arrival.
No deposit is charged at time of booking. Full payment will be taken on the day of arrival at check in.
A pre-authorization in the amount of $0.01 will be held on the credit card used to make your reservation. This is a hold, not a charge, to ensure a valid credit card was entered at time of booking. Due to an increase in fraudulent booking, this is done so we can guarantee your reservation.
Cancellation Policy
Bookings may be cancelled 72 hours prior to 3:00 pm MST on the check in date for a full refund.
Bookings cancelled with less than 72 hours of the check in date at 3:00pm MST will be charged the total price.
Guests with invalid credit cards will be notified via email and have 24 hours to update their reservation with a valid credit card. If the card is not updated the reservation will be cancelled.
