Welcome to The Newport.
Opening in June 2015, we strive to combine many elements under one roof. Situated in Newport-On-Tay with unrivalled views, we offer locally sourced food and drink, in spectacular surroundings.
Build in 1806, The Newport is one of the original buildings of Newport - a small riverside suburb to Dundee, St Andrews and beyond. From its humble beginnings as a Posting House, The Newport now boasts a stunning restaurant split over two levels with food from award winning chef, Jamie Scott. Our lively bar hosts regular music nights and entertainment, with regular outdoor festivals throughout the year.
Take a wander around Tatha Gallery, where we aim to make art accessible to patrons of all ages and backgrounds. We believe that art is powerful, given the chance, it can exert major benefits on peoples lives. We hope that you will discover that the Tatha Gallery is a welcoming, fun and un-intimidating space in which to spend time with families and friends.
And, of course, you can stay in comfort while you enjoy all these activities in one of our four guest rooms, themed around countries who have historic ties to Scotland. Catering for individuals, couples and small families, our rooms are finished to the highest of standards for you to enjoy. Each room is as individual as the next, with carefully selected furnishings to reflect the chosen country. All generously proportioned, The Newport is perfect for that relaxing trip away or romantic getaway.
