Porters Landing Guesthouse

Porters Landing Guest House is a 1796 home, 2-suite Inn (soon to be three suites!), and artist retreat located in beautiful Freeport, Maine. We're located just one mile from bustling downtown Freeport, with all of its shopping, LL Bean, restaurants, and galleries, and a short stroll to the western shore of the tidal Harraseeket River, which opens up into Casco Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The neighborhood, known as Porters Landing since the 1700s, is full of Federal and Greek Revival homes, has a small marine service shop, two public boat launches, and a long history of mariners and ship-builders. Enjoy a day of shopping, hiking, kayaking, or exploring the Maine coastline, and then come home to your Porters Landing suite for a cozy, lovely evening!

Although the house is 1796, our suites are modern & completely private! Here, you will find common areas that are designed for privacy and intimacy (we are not the Inn or Bed & Breakfast of yesteryear!), for late night chats by the firepit, for a quiet coffee on the porch, or a peaceful sit in the garden.

Terms & Conditions

Please note that our property (house and yard) are 100% smoke free.

Check-in is at 3:00PM, and Check-out is at 10:00 AM. If you would like an early check-in or late check-out, just let us know and we will try to accommodate!

This is a lovely, quiet residential neighborhood, and as such, we do not allow parties of any kind, big or small.

We ask that guests observe quiet hours from 10 PM until 7 AM.

We live in the house as well, and we will also abide by these same rules. We are so happy to be able to open up our home to guests and artists from all over the world! We strive to share this little corner of happiness with you, and at the same time, respect our neighbors & their own dreams of living in beautiful, peaceful Freeport.

Payment Policy

Payment is taken upon reservation.

Cancellation Policy

Cancel within 24 hours before your reservation arrival date to receive a full refund. After that time period, you will receive a 50% refund.
