The Queensberry opened as a 15 bedroom hotel in July 2007. In recent years the Queensberry has been taken over by a private owner, the business is independently owned and is currently in the planning stages of a new refurbishment. We have off-site parking just down the street, which is for customers only situated behind Normans Furnishings, 42-44 English St, Dumfries DG1 2BY. There is a £10 deposit for the room key which is returned when the keys are handed in. Please also bring photo identification with you for when you check in. **Accommodation is up two flights of stairs and we do not have a lift** Decor is contemporary yet comfortable. Access to the hotels 15 bedrooms is through the pub/restaurant on the ground floor offering quality food and premium branded drinks throughout the day and evening to both residents and non-residents. Please note that on a Saturday night we have a DJ that starts from 09:00PM to 0130AM so please note that some noise will be experienced from outside in the high street, there is a level between the bar and hotel so this stops the noise from travelling directly up to the hotel rooms however the Queensberry hotel is situated central so noise from the street on busy Saturday nights is expected.

We do not have a 24HR Reception however you can gain access in and out of the hotel with a security pass key ring given to you on arrival, this allows you to use the side entrance to the Queensberry Hotel only permitted for hotel guests, this allows you head upstairs to the next secured door where by you gain access to the hotel. So whilst we do not have a 24HR reception gaining access to the hotel and your room can be done round the clock. This will be explained more in detail with the staff member that you speak to on arrival.

For infants staying we do have a travel cot however due to health and safety we require the hotel guest to assemble the co themselves. There is no bedding provided for the cot this is again due to health and safety, so guest are advised to bring their own.

Your reservation for the The Queensberry Hotel in Dumfries is an advance purchase rate and a credit card is required to charge full pre-payment at the time of booking. This is non refundable and non transferable.

Important information for those with minors:
For infants staying we do have a travel cot however due to health and safety we require the hotel guest to assemble the cot themselves. There is no bedding provided for the cot this is again due to health and safety, so guest are advised to bring their own.

Drugs and Smoking Policy:

Smoking is prohibited in the hotel rooms any evidence of smoking found by our housekeeping staff after your departure will result in £100 fine.

The Queensberry Hotel, Dumfries has a legal responsibility to ensure that it does not allow its premises to be used for illegal drug activities. If you, or your guest, are involved in illegal drug activities you could be reported to the police.
