Welcome to the Raton Pass Inn Motel, where vintage meets modern and a complimentary breakfast can be memorable.
We take pride in our rooms and the ability to offer our guests a great night's sleep that doesn't cost a fortune.

Hotel Features
Our motel consists of 14 non-smoking rooms complete with microwaves, mini-fridges, cable TVs and Wi-Fi.
We have an area to bar-b-q when the days are warm or just sit and enjoy a beautiful New Mexico sunset after a day on the road.
Kick off your day with our continental breakfast, where you never know what's going to happen around the breakfast table.

Don't forget to request your favorite themed room when you make your reservation.
Guests who are looking to live on the wild side can request to stay in Lucky 13 and don't forget to ask for the fright night package. Scary movies, popcorn and the perfect atmosphere can make a boring night's stay.......Extraordinary.
Other rooms which are now complete include The Man Cave, The Reveille Room, Let's Rodeo , our Wildlife Room and Butch & Sundance.

Location
The motel is off I-25, three hours from Colorado Springs and four hours from Albuquerque and a mere hour and a half from the Texas and Oklahoma borders

Walking distance from the Amtrak station and downtown Raton, where shopping, good eats and great times are waiting.

Please notify motel of cancellations no later then 6 pm the night of check in to avoid charges to your credit card.

Your card will automatically be charged a "no show fee" of $50 per room. This fee occurs automatically through our website and is non-refundable. Our desk staff cannot override this fee.

Bookings made through a partner site are subject to the cancellation policy of the site itself. We cannot be held responsible for miscommunication of data, so please review their terms and conditions about cancellations

There are no refunds, exchanges or credits given should your card be charged due to a no show reservation.

The person booking and checking into the unit(“the Guest”), acknowledges and agrees that these conditions apply and extend to any person (also referred to as “Guest”) occupying or visiting The Raton Pass Inn Motel complex and/or using the facilities in the complex at the invitation of or with the authority of the Guest. Guests agree to pay all charges incurred by them and their “Guest(s)” during their stay including loss or damage to the unit.

All personal information collected from you is maintained securely and is required to meet the requirements of both Federal and State legislation regarding the maintenance of a guest register, for fire safety reasons, for accounting and billing purposes and to market our services to you.

We will not make this personal information available to any third party without your prior consent except where required by law or to enforce our collection of amounts owing by you. We will not knowingly permit any misuse of this data. You may request access to personal information we hold about you. If you do not provide us with this information, we may be unable to provide you with accommodation

By accessing and using the The Raton Pass Inn Motel website or upon check in and entry into our lobby or motel units, you agree that your access to and use of The Raton Pass Inn Motel is subject to these terms and conditions.

ROOM KEYS
Keys:
We issue you 1 room key upon check in.
You agree to return your room key to the front desk at the time of your departure or place on your desk if you choose the express check out method.
You agree to pay associated charges for the replacement of keys/locks should you lose or fail to return them.
The responsibility to lock the unit upon departure/absence is yours.
The unit must be left securely locked upon check out and the key(s) returned .
Should you accidentally take a room key home, there is a 5 day grace period to contact us.
If the key is not returned or you fail to contact us your credit card used to book the room will be charged $25 to change the locks, after all our guests safety is important to us.

EXPRESS CHECK IN/OUT
We understand checking in can be a long process after being on the road for hundreds of miles so we proudly offer an Express Check in and Express check out if requested. If you will be arriving early just call and let us know so we can have your room ready.

SPECIAL REQUESTS
We want your stay here to be a happy one and have no problems accommodating almost any request, but we do ask that you email or call us with special requests such as an allergen free room as this is a 24 hour process.

Occupancy:

Your occupancy commences and ends on the dates shown on your registration card
Check out is strictly 11am (unless special arrangements are made).
Should you need to add another night please notify the front desk ASAP otherwise you will be charged an hourly fee of $15 for each hour we are unable to market the room.

Maximum Occupancy:
Only the number of people designated on booking or check-in may stay in the unit overnight. You will be advised of the maximum occupancy per unit. Any extra people will be advised to leave. Due to law and fire safety regulations only the maximum occupancy is allowed.

Payments:
are to be finalized on arrival to the motel. We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express and cash only.

Credit Card or Cash deposit:

Entry to The Raton Pass Inn Motel is conditional upon supply of a Valid Credit Card , Driver’s License & Vehicle Registration.
If in the course of a guest’s stay during period of use, and/or any visitors of the guest, any unforeseen expenses become apparent the guest’s account/credit card will be charged an amount appropriate to the expense, at a rate determined by the management of The Raton Pass Inn Motel.
Fees chargeable to guest accounts may include, but are not limited to:

Damage due to:

Smoking in units –$250- all units are non-smoking, ashtrays are provided for use in designated smoking areas only. If it is found that a room was smoked in a deep cleaning fee will be charged

Unit degradation-$250- (such as vomit, bodily waste, general damage, pet/animal, excessive cleaning and rubbish) –When situations occur which we have to bring in contracted laborers the fee covers the cost of paying them, as well as not being able to market that room

Stolen or damaged unit items –. up to $500- We take pride in our inventory here at The Raton Pass Inn. Most of our inventory has been carefully selected for each rooms unique theme and is, in most instances, irreplaceable. Housekeeping fills out inventory sheets for each room daily, should it be discovered that any item is either missing or damaged to neegligence, you will be charged the cost of the item. This also includes linen items. Bath towels $25

We have towels available upon request which can be used for jobs such as wiping down a vehicle or cleaning up a mess

Undeclared pet-$250-
Using a non pet room to house a pet creates a problem because of the animal dander that some guests may be allergic too. Housing an undeclared pet in a room which is not pet friendly can create a liability problem. If it is found that you have housed a pet in such a manner, we will charge the cost of deep cleaning the room, and having to shut it down for 24 hours.

Any problem sufficient to result in the unit having to be withdrawn from its availability to be sold will result in a "shut down fee" of $50 per night

Refusal of Entry:
Under no circumstances will the Raton pass inn rent to any locals.

Managers reserve the right to refuse return guests who have caused damage or disruption to the motel and its guests on a previous stay and/or guests who have been evicted from other accommodation providers for same reasons or criminal behavior.

Underage guests will be denied access to the motel unless accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian for the duration of their stay.

We will not be held responsible for any accidents or injury to our guests while on or near our property.

We are not responsible for loss of money, jewelry or any property of any kind.
Our office closes at 9:00 pm Mountain Standard Time.
If you will be arriving past this time please call motel to make arrangements.

PET POLICY

Raton Pass inn welcomes service animals and well-behaved pets.
We charge $5 per pet, per night
They are permitted in our "pet friendly accommodation" rooms, unless they pose a health, safety risk or are prohibited by law.
Pet limit of 2 pets per room.
