Terms & Conditions

Your accommodation agreement is with Richard & Carol Vale trading as the Red Lion Stodmarsh ("Red Lion"). Please read these conditions carefully before entering into the contract and do please contact us if you have any questions.

If your booking is made through a business entity (for example a limited company), then you acknowledge that no liability can be accepted by the Red Lion for any business losses howsoever suffered or incurred by you.

Once your booking is confirmed through the payment of an initial deposit, we will provide you with written confirmation which will normally take the form of an e-mail. The contract between us is only formed once we have confirmed payment receipt and issued this confirmation and is subject to the Terms & Conditions. Please check the details of the confirmation and inform us straight away if there are any errors or omissions.

In making this booking an entering into a contract with the Red Lion, you agree that:
i) any breakages or costs to the Red Lion arising from any accidents or incidents caused by you will be payable at cost prior to departure
ii) you will take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal property; no liability to you is accepted by the Red Lion in respect of any damage or loss of such property whilst staying with us, except of course where the loss is caused by our own negligence.
iii) you acknowledge that a maximum of two persons only may stay in each of our rooms unless otherwise explicitly agreed between us and that you will not allow any additional persons to use the facilities without our prior permission.
iv) the management of the Red Lion reserves the right to enter your room at any period during your stay for the purposes of cleaning, repairs and general inspection or in the event that we have cause for concern regarding yours or the Red Lion's well-being.

If you have any complaints prior to our during your stay, please let us know at the earliest opportunity in order that we can do our very best to resolve to your complete satisfaction.

The contract between you and Red Lion is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Payment Policy

For reservations greater than 2 weeks prior to the first night's accommodation, the deposit required is the greater of £40 per room per night or 50% of the rate applicable at the time. The balance is then payable on arrival at the Red Lion.

For reservations less than 2 weeks prior to the first night's accommodation, full payment is required.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations of 4 or more weeks notice shall result in a full refund of the deposit paid. Cancellations of less than 4 weeks but greater than 2 weeks shall be entitled to a refund of 50% of the deposit paid. In the event of less than 2 weeks notice of a cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable.

Only in exceptional circumstances would the Red Lion have to make any changes to your booking, but occasionally problems occur and we may have to make alterations. If we have no option but to cancel your booking, we will give you as much notice as possible, help with finding alternative nearby accommodation and offer you a full refund of the deposit paid.
