Terms & Conditions
Our property has a policy of No Smoking and No Pets. If you do not abide by this policy, you will be assessed a $200 fee.
Hours of Operation
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. We will be happy to check you in early if your room is available. Check out time is 11:00 a.m.
Our service desk hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday through Sunday. Please let us know ahead of time if you will be arriving after our service desk has closed. Arrangements will be made to process your check-in before your arrival and your key will be left for you.
Free parking is available to all our overnight guests.
Some guest rooms are located on the second floor and are only accessible by stairs. There is no elevator and no bellhop. Please pack accordingly.
We reserve the right to charge for any damage to or removal of items from the premises and/or need for excessive cleaning.
Photo Shoots/Filming
All photo shoots and filming are subject to advance approval by the owners. At least seven days advance written notice required prior to any personal or professional photo shoots. No closed door filming allowed. Additional fees apply. In other words, you may not simply reserve a room for a photo shoot or filming. This also applies to day-of events such as weddings. A liaison designated by the River Forest Manor & Marina will be assigned to monitor all photo shoots and filming. Please call us at 252.943.0320 for further details. A separate contract is required.
No hourly rates available.
No cash accepted onsite.
Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a minimum charge of $10 and may take up to 30 days to receive. We apologize for any inconvenience. To avoid this, please be sure to thoroughly check your room for items that are of value to you prior to your departure.
Damaged or missing items from rooms post check out will be charged to your credit card on file. These include but are not limited to remote controls, linens, pillows, mugs, room key, books, etc. Please inquire if you have any questions or concerns about this policy.
Payment Policy
Our rates are based on double occupancy plus NC state sales tax. Other channels (e.g. booking.com, etc.) require full payment in advance. A valid I.D. must be presented at time of check-in along with the credit card used to reserve online. No cash accepted onsite.
Cancellation Policy
As we are a small independent business, cancellations affect us greatly. Therefore, all cancellations are subject to a minimum $25 per booked room cancellation fee and are treated as follows:
In advance of 14 full days prior to arrival date: $25 cancellation fee.
Within two weeks from arrival: Refund of room charge based on our ability to resell your room(s).
30-day cancellation applies to all holidays, months of May/June/July/August/September/October.
30-day cancellation or more applies to all bookings of more than two rooms year round.
EXCEPTION: For Weddings and Special Events, please see our Wedding and Special Events policies in our contract. New Year week reservations are paid in full, in advance, and are non-refundable.
Additional policies apply to group reservations of three or more rooms.
All cancellations must be provided in writing to reservations@riverforestmanor.com. You will receive any refund due within 30 days.
