Terms & Conditions

The lodges are let out on a self-catering basis.

A Welcome Pack is provided in each Lodge, consisting of: orange juice; assorted cereals; cereal bars; cookies; teas, coffees & sugar; jams & preserves. Each bathroom is equipped with soap; shampoo; shower gel, body lotion, shower cap, toothbrush, razor and sewing kit. Additional supplies are available on reasonable request.

Perishable products such as bread, milk & butter are available from the bar on request. Additionally, bacon & eggs may be purchased at the bar.

All towels and linen are provided. Each Lodge is equipped with hairdryer, iron and board. The "mini-kitchen" is adequately equipped with sufficient crockery and utensils for general needs.

All guests are politely instructed to abstain from smoking whilst residing in our lodges. Failure to comply with this reasonable request will be subject to a £50.00 surcharge, as the Lodge will not be re-sellable on the day of your departure.

The business has a zero tolerance approach to illegal drugs. Any evident breach of this condition will result in eviction from the property with immediate effect and without refund. In the event of protest, the police will be contacted,. Again, the surcharge of £50.00 will be applicable as specified above. Such conduct severely endangers our licence to operate.

Dogs are permitted at additional charge of £10 per night. Pets must not be left unattended in the lodges for any prolonged period of time.

The sofa bed is available in Family Lodges and must be requested upon arrival. Suitable for a single adult / teenager or possibly two young children. Travel cots without linen are also available at no charge.

There is a maximum legal occupancy of 2 adults in our Double Lodges and 4 persons (3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children) in our Family Lodges.

All lodges are serviced prior to arrival, upon departure and one additional occasion for each week of the residency.

Check-In time is from Noon and in accordance with the specified opening times of The John Thompson Inn.

Individuals arriving at the premises at time of Check In noticeably under the effect of drink or drugs will forfeit their reservation without refund. Check-In closes at 9pm, unless agreed prior by telephone.

Check-Out time is to be no later than 10am. Late Check-Out may be subject to £20.00 surcharge.

The grounds, facilities & services are for the sole use of residents & customers. The Lodges are wholly unsuitable for large groups / parties.

For the benefit of our Guests and neighbours, the business operates a "Quiet Time" policy between 10pm and 8am.

The Company reserves the right to increase prices and introduce minimum periods of stay at certain times of the year. Further details available upon request.

Payment Policy

A non-refundable deposit of £30.00 will be required at time of booking.

The outstanding balance will be payable during your stay with us.

The business must be notified of any cancellation by both telephone and e-mail.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept American Express or Diner’s Club.

Riverview Lodges Ltd is not registered for VAT purposes.

Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable deposit of £30.00 will be required at time of booking.

The outstanding balance will be payable during your stay with us.

The business must be notified of any cancellation by both telephone and e-mail.

In the event of "no show" without communication, the entirety of the booking will be cancelled at the conclusion of the first 24 hour period.
