TERMS AND CONDITIONS
“C 1 ompany”, “we” or “us” means Robert Mewton (SIRET: 435 319 249 00023) of Chalet Bluebell, 3419 Route des Grands Alpes, Les Gets, 74260, FRANCE, trading as Ski Blue Ridge at Chalet Bluebell.
“You” means the person making the booking with us.
“Client” means the person making the booking with us and the persons for whom the booking is made.
“Booking” means the booking for accommodation, functions and/or any other services or items made with us.
“Contract” means the Booking and these Terms, and any other terms and conditions stated to apply to the Booking.
“Chalet” means the premises for which your Booking is made.
“Terms” means these terms and conditions.
“Website” means www.skiblueridge.co.uk or www.caterdchaletlesgets.com or any other website owned or operated by us relating to our Chalet from time to time.
“VAT” means value added tax.
2 Making a Booking and Payment
On completion of a booking via either website, internet channel, email or phone a confirmation will be sent to you by email after deposit payment is made.
A deposit prepayment of In winter season 200 pounds per person or in summer or off a booking channel like Booking.com a 50% of the total price after reservation must be made and the remaining amount 60 days before arrival.
Please note for clients paying in UK pounds the rate of exchange on the day of each payment applies. We are not responsible for fluctuations in currency exchange rates.
The resort of Les Gets charges 0.90 cents per person per night for the Tax de Sejour which will be added to the final bill.
The person making the booking will be doing so on behalf of and with the consent of all the persons for whom the booking is made. That person will be responsible to us for full payment of the price (including any insurance premiums, cancellation or alteration charges) of the holiday booked. No contract shall exist between you and the Company until a confirmation of booking showing the arrangements booked has been issued. The balance owing to us must be paid in accordance to the format in which the booking is made.
If the Company does not receive the balance on time we reserve the right to cancel the booking, retain deposit and levy charges as described in section 5.
Variations: Guests can not sublet their rooms. Changes to the agreed number of people as originally booked is not permitted without the express permission of the Company.
Prices are accurate at the date of publication, however we reserve the right to increase or decrease prices at any time. Once you have booked, the price of your holiday is guaranteed, except that the Company may pass on to you any increases due to Government levies, tax or fuel surcharges. On any surcharges imposed, the Company will absorb an amount of up to 2% of the holiday cost.
4 Cancellation or Alteration by the Company
The Company shall endeavour to inform you as quickly as possible of any changes to your booked holiday. We reserve the right to make minor alterations to holiday arrangements without incurring any liability to the client. In the unlikely event of the Company having to make major alterations to or cancelling a holiday, we shall offer an alternative or a full refund of all money paid. Where cancellation or alteration is by reason of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of the Company, the consequences of which could not have be avoided even if all due care had been exercised, we will return all money paid to us or offer you an alternative holiday.
5 Cancellation or Alteration by the Client
Cancellation policy will be as the booking channel it was made in. It will only take effect when written or emailed notification is received from the person making the booking. If cancellation is received 60 days prior to departure date, your deposit will be forfeited.
The guest will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel after reservation within 4 weeks of the holiday and the total price if they cancel in the 14 days before arrival.
It is strongly advisable to take out your own holiday insurance so you can make a claim if cancellation is necessary .
For travel to France all British citizens require a valid full passport. British citizens require no visas. The Company cannot be held responsible for clients missing flights, coaches, ferries, trains or the failure of any travel arrangements for whatever reason.
7 Client Responsibility
You accept responsibility to conduct yourself and your party in an orderly fashion while on holiday and to not disrupt the enjoyment of others or prejudice the reputation of the Company. The holiday of any client breaking this clause shall be terminated and the Company will have no further responsibility to them. You agree that any loss or damage to accommodation or property caused by you or your party will be recovered immediately and paid in full.
8 Arrival and Departures
Guests can arrive after 16:00 each day when the rooms will be ready for you at 16:00. Should you want to arrive earlier it may be possible by permission.
Guests must vacate their room by 10:00 on the day of departure. It is possible to leave your belongings with us until an evening departure.
The Company cannot be held responsible for or pay any compensation where any loss, delay or costs are caused by war, threat of war, riot, civil strike, industrial dispute, political unrest, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions (including avalanches and mud slides), closure of airports, ports, stations, or roads, and all similar events. This list is by way of example and not by way of limitation. The Company do not accept any responsibility for any injury occurring during your stay at the Chalet unless caused by the direct negligence of the Company.
10 Complaints by the Client
It is our aim to settle any complaints amicably and quickly. Should you have any problems whilst on holiday the owners should be informed so that action can be taken without delay. If you wish to pursue a claim against us, written notification must be given to us no later than 28 days after the end of your holiday. If you have a dispute with the Company that cannot be resolved amicably, you may call upon a scheme administered by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
11 Guiding Service
We are not allowed to offer a formal guiding service but we can sometimes offer social skiing to help locate the area, restaurants etc. Our social skiing is provided by our staff purely on a social basis outside of their normal working hours. To avoid confrontation with the local ski schools, clubs and French law it is necessary to point out that this service is provided free of charge. No part of your holiday price is used to finance this service and no payment is made by you to our staff to act as a guide. Additionally all guests booking with the Company agree that you, the client, confirm that if a member of staff employed by the Company joins in with your activities, he or she is not acting in any way as a guide or instructor of your group.
12 Smoking Policy
Please note that we operate a strict no smoking policy in and around the chalet . Smoking is also deemed as a big fire risk. We would also ask you not to smoke in our vehicles for health and safety reasons. There is a designated smoking area with a large ash tray on the veranda of the Chalet. Any guest found to contravene this policy will be asked to leave without compensation for lost accommodation and will also be charged for any associated cleaning or repairs.
13 Holiday Insurance
Everyone booking a holiday with the Company must have sufficient insurance cover for the activities they are participating in. It is your responsibility to make sure you have sufficient cover.
14 Holiday Information
The descriptions on the web site and all other information supplied by the Company is correct to the best of our knowledge. However, although the accuracy is not guaranteed, all descriptions and information are given in good faith and in the belief that they were true at the time.
Parking is available in front of the Chalet and done so entirely at the owners risk.
16 Hot Tub/Jacuzzi
The Hot tub/jacuzzi is available for all to use up until 20:00 hours daily. Children must be supervised and no bottles or glasses to be taken to the jacuzzi.all drinks must be in plastic glasses.
The Company accepts no responsibility for loss or theft or damage to any personal items such as valuables or skis etc. Keys are issued on loan to guests for their convenience and security. Keys must not be loaned to any person other than those occupying the relevant rooms. Loss of keys will result in a 50 euros surcharge per key.
These conditions and any contract to which they apply are governed in all respects by French law.

We require £200 or 200 euros depending if you are english or european per person as a deposit to secure the booking.
Full payment is required 8 weeks prior to your holiday.
Deposits are non-refundable by us and we insist you take out COVID travel insurance upon booking in the event of a cancellation you can then make a claim
Booking Terms & Conditions
Payment of a deposit or, if within 8 weeks of travel, full payment of the holiday, shall constitute the basis of the contract between the Party Leader (the Client) and us Chalet Bluebell subject to these Booking Conditions and the descriptions of the accommodation and services given on this website. The contract shall exist when payment has been received by us from you, the Client, and a Confirmation and Invoice has been sent to you, the Client, by us.
Please check your Confirmation and Invoice very carefully to see that all details are correct. Please contact us immediately if any information is incorrect as it may not be possible to make changes later. We cannot accept liability should you fail to notify us more than ten days after receipt of the

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU TAKE OUT A COVID TRAVEL INSURANCE POLICY AT THE TIME YOU MAKE YOUR PAYMENT
IF you are unable to travel due to quarantine measures. This will apply in the following circumstances:
1, Your Government’s and/or Foreign Office’s advice states that you are advised not to travel and/or are forbidden to travel to France during the period of your holiday.
2, Local advice from the Haute Savoie Prefecture prevents you from staying in our Chalet during the period of your holiday booking.
3, Our Chalet is closed due to an outbreak of COVID-19 during the period of your holiday with a pro-rata refund if your holiday is interrupted.
4, Should only 1 or 2 people in your party suddenly develop Covid and can’t travel then we would NOT expect the whole group to cancel and therefore monies would not be refunded this is all at the discretion of the owners.
In line with our current booking terms and conditions, we require a £200 GBP deposit per person to confirm your booking. Your deposit payment is normally non-refundable and non-transferable, but in light of the uncertainties due to COVID restrictions ahead, if you are affected by any of the circumstances in clauses 1 to 3 above, we will transfer your deposit payment to a new booking date either later in the current season or in the next season, or if you prefer we will issue a full refund of your deposit.
Your final balance payment of the holiday price will be due 8 weeks before you are due to arrive. Once the final balance payment of the holiday price has been made you will still be able to cancel your existing booking if the circumstances specified in clauses 1 to 3 above apply. You can either transfer your holiday payment to a new booking date or receive a full refund of your holiday payment.
This means your booking deposit payment and your final holiday balance payment can be transferred to any other available dates in Summer 2022 up to the end of 2023 if your cancellation is due to the events in clauses 1 to 3 above.
We are offering these COVID-19 specific booking terms relating only to the payment to us for your holiday and in the specific circumstances described in clauses 1 – 3 above. It is a condition of our general booking terms that you have adequate insurance cover and you must carry this cover for all other risks including COVID. We will not be liable for any other uninsured risks. All other holiday booking terms and conditions remain the same as per our general terms and conditions.
