Smith & Western also has themed guest accommodation and is just a short walk from the historic Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Formerly, Tunbridge Wells West Station, which opened in 1866 with train services running to the South Coast, this historic Grade II listed building still showcases the original ticket office and clock tower.
The American restaurant theme continues throughout the 9 bedrooms which are named after South American tribes like, Sioux, Cree or Arapaho to name a few. With bedside lights in the shape of antlers or cowboy boots, these bedrooms are finished to a very high standard, with all modern facilities of flat-screen TVs with Freeview channels, coffee machines, and Wi-Fi. Room rates start from £95 for a double bedroom, which includes a continental breakfast the following morning. Cooked breakfasts are available from our breakfast menu.

Terms of Booking & Booking Deposit
By placing a booking with us, you and your booking party (guests) agree to the following terms and conditions as set-out. During your stay you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions as set-out. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a booking.
To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 18 years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set-out within. Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission.
To secure any booking we require a deposit to be paid in advance, this deposit amount is the first nights stay.
Deposits are only refundable under the conditions set-out in our cancellation policy.
Payments will be taken automatically at the time of booking.
All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests and our neighbours.
Check-in & Check-out
Guests must check-in and check-out by the times stated below;
Check-in between: 15:00pm and by 21:00pm on day of arrival
Check-out by: 12:00am on day of departure
Cancellation, Returned Deposit & Non-Arrival Conditions
Guest who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. Deposits already paid are only returned in accordance with the following conditions;
Cancellation made prior to 48hrs before arrival date = Full refund will be issued
Cancellation made less than 48hrs prior to arrival date = The first nights stay will be taken as a cancellation payment
Non-arrival guests, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason forfeit their deposit paid.
Damages & Lost Property
We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimise damage and associated costs. Lost keys will incur a replacement charge per key.
Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking-out. We may offer to post lost items at the cost of the property owner, otherwise collection can be arranged.
We are a non smoking hotel, however there is a 24 hour night exit available with a smoking area.
We do not accept pets throughout the accommodation or restaurant.
We have on-site parking around the back of the building available for guests, we do not except any liability and your vehicle is parked at the guests own risk.
We are not a disabled accessiable hotel, however our restaurant is.
A deposit of the first nights stay will be taken at the time of booking from your payment card provided.
If you wish to cancel your stay, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to arrival for a full refund. However if cancellation is made within the 48 hours prior to check in you will be charged for 1 nights accommodation per room booked.
