Strickland Arms is striving to follow CDC guidelines to provide a contact-less stay and unfortunately that means we will NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A SIT DOWN GROUP BREAKFAST at this time. However we will have an assortment pre-packaged items and a single serve coffee machine is available for use in the dining room

Strickland Arms B&B is an urban oasis located in a quiet, residential historic neighborhood, just north of downtown Austin. Strickland Arms is walking distance to Shipe Park, Elisabet Ney Museum, Austin landmark restaurants, and coffee and other specialty shops. Strickland Arms is conveniently located to Austin’s major attractions. Just minutes away is the University of Texas, The Texas State Capitol, and downtown Austin.

Built in 1904 the B&B sits on an acre of beautifully landscaped grounds shaded by tall oak and pecan trees. Enjoy the courtyard pool and fireplace, find your own cozy nook on one of our wraparound porches, or relax in the formal living room. Historic features are a treat throughout the house including original architectural details, stained glass windows created by your host Barbara, limestone fireplaces, and historic water tower.

Convenient off-street parking is available for guests.

All guests are welcome to enjoy our formal living room with couch, chairs and fireplace, formal dining room (Strickland Arms is striving to follow CDC guidelines to provide a contactless stay and unfortunately that means we will not be able to provide sit down group breakfast at this time. However, we will have an assortment prepacked items and a single serve coffee machine is available for use in the dining room), three covered conversation areas on wraparound porch, dining area on back porch, courtyard pool with outdoor fireplace and Jacuzzi hot tub.

This room is a corner room that can only be reached through adjoining room (Sir Soren or Lady Stephanie) and can NOT be booked by itself.

Terms & Conditions

We welcome and enjoy talking to our guest, please feel free to call us with any questions at 512-454-4426. Since we have to get up early the BEST TIME TO CALL is between 10 am and 5 pm central time. Most reservations must be made at least one day in advance of stay. Same day reservations are possible, please call us to make last minute reservations.

Reservations accepted with credit card. Most major credit cards accepted.

All room rates are per night for double occupancy.

We regret we can NOT host pets of any kind or children under the age of twelve. Guests 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Two day reservations are required on stay that includes Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Breakfast: Strickland Arms is striving to follow CDC guidelines to provide a contactless stay and unfortunately that means we will not be able to provide sit down group breakfast at this time. Check-in anytime after 2:00 pm. Check-out is 11 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available with prior arrangement for extra charge

Smoking and candle burning are strictly prohibited except out of doors.

-SXSW: South by Southwest - usually in March (2021: March 16th- 20th)
-University of Texas Graduation - usually in last part of May (2021: May 21st-22nd)
-ACL: Austin City Limits Festival - usually in October (2021: October 1st-3rd, & 8th-10th)
-Formula 1- usually last part of October, early November (2021: October 22nd-24th)
-Thanksgiving week (2019: November 22nd-28th)
-Christmas week to New Years (2021: December 20th-January 2nd)

Payment Policy

State and City Occupancy Taxes NOT included in room rate and are charged at the rate in effect at time of check-out.

NOTE: The City of Austin requires that an additional tax of two percent (2%) be imposed on each hotel charge for the purpose of financing a venue project

Regular dates: Payment can be made anytime during guest stay.

For peak times during Special Event dates, which include ACL, SXSW, Forumla 1, UT Graduation, Thanksgiving and Christmas week, your credit card on file with your reservation will be charged thirty days prior to arrival for Formula 1 and 7 day prior to arrival for all other special event dates.

Cancellation Policy

Regular dates:
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance of reservation date or your card will be charged for full reserved stay, unless room can be re-booked (see re-booking information).

Special Event dates:
Formula 1: Cancellations must be made at least 30 days in advance of reservation date or your card will be charged for full reserved stay, unless room can be re-booked (see re-booking information)
All other special events: Cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance of reservation date or your card will be charged for full reserved stay, unless room can be re-booked (see re-booking information)

For all cancellations:
Cancellations must be made in by email to reservations@stricklandarmsbedandbreakfast.com or if made by phone 512-454-4426. PLEASE NOTE: you must receive a cancellation email from Strickland Arms for cancellation to be valid.

If the room(s) can be re-booked, a full or partial refund, minus a 5% re-booking fee, will be given.
