Welcome to The Swope Manor

The Swope Manor bed and breakfast in Gettysburg has been completely renovated and is now open.

The Swope Manor property has a rich history in the historic town of Gettysburg dating back to 1793 when a two story log home was first built on the property. In 1836, Mr. Swope tore down the log home and built the handsome brick home you see today. Now completely renovated, The Swope Manor bed and breakfast brings the comforts of today to this wonderful home offering a comfortable bed, a hot breakfast and memories to last a lifetime. The Swope Manor Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located one block east of the town square in downtown Gettysburg. With our perfect location you will be within walking distance of many local shops and restaurants.

Parking at the Inn is also very convenient. We have parking for guest check in/out and overnight parking is available for a nominal fee in the public parking garage located just behind the Inn.

Terms & Conditions

Reservations & Policies

Reservations

All rates are based on double occupancy.

Additional overnight guests are $25 per-person per-room per-night.

A reservation is not completed until a confirmation is sent by the Inn by email or letter.

Online reservations can be made through our website at the "Availability and Reservations" page.

Rates published online are only for the current calendar year.

A two-night minimum is required for weekends from April 1st through December 31 and other special weekends or events.

Please check for up to date room availability on our website under "Availability and Reservations" page.

Check In & Out

Check-in time is from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.

No check-ins after 7:00 pm unless prior arrangement is made.

Check-out time is 11:00 am. Late check-outs are subject to an additional fee.

Gift Certificates

If gift certificate is redeemed after one year from date of purchase you will be responsible for balance if the room rate increases.

Parking

Guest may use the Inn's driveway if available for checking in or out only.

Overnight parking is available at the public parking garage located behind the Inn on Race Horse Alley.

The fee for parking is $1 per hour as you come and go. Overnight parking or if vehicle is left in the garage for a 24 hour period the rate will not exceed $12.00

Smoking & Candles

The Swope Manor is an entirely non-smoking facility. A fee of one night's room rate will be charged for smoking in the home, guest room or property.

Lighted candles are not permitted in guest rooms or decks.

Pets

We do not allow pets in guest rooms or on the property of the Inn.

Payment Policy

Deposit

A 100% deposit is required for a one-night stay and a 50% deposit is required for a multiple night stay. The deposit is taken at the time of the reservation and is refundable, subject to our cancellation policies (below).

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations

A $25 processing fee will be applied to all cancellations.

Guests are responsible and liable for the entire booking if cancelled 14 days or less, non-arrival or early departure unless the room can be rebooked by another guest.
