Check-in/Check-out Policy:
Guests will be required to present a valid ID and credit card that is accepted by the Monte Vista Hotel upon checking in after 4:00 PM. Payment is card only - no cash please. Rates quoted are based on check-in date, length of stay shown, and room type. Should you depart early prior to the departure date confirmed for any reason, the Monte Vista Hotel may impose an early departure fee, and/or adjust your daily rate to reflect the rate associated with your actual length of stay.

Arrival Time:
Check in begins at 4:00 pm. For arrivals after 10:00 pm, please call the hotel to give an estimated time of arrival.

To our Guests:
Please note that all 1937 rooms do not have televisions, only the Lodge queen rooms. The historic building does not have an elevator - stairs only.

Pets:
Our Lodge queen rooms are dog-friendly with a 2 pet maximum at 50 lbs each and a flat pet fee of $100 regardless of length of stay. Dogs are not allowed in the historic rooms, only in the Lodge wing, and cannot be in our dining area spaces.

Rate Rules/Restrictions:
Rates confirmed are for the number of occupants listed in your email confirmation, per room, per night. Tour and package rates vary according to the features of the specific package or program offered and by season. The applicable charges for the packages confirmed are indicated in your e-mail confirmation details. Applicable taxes, service charges, if applicable, will be added to the hotel bill unless indicated as a package feature. The taxes, service charges and value added tax shown on your e-mail confirmation are those currently in effect. Taxes, service charges, etc. are subject to change without notice according to North Carolina law.

Revision/Cancellation For Individual Reservations:
Please call to cancel reservations before the hold time to avoid cancellation fees - 72 hours prior to your 4:00 pm check-in.
Cancellations may be made up to 72 hours prior to the beginning of check in time (4pm on the day of your arrival) at no penalty to the customer. Cancellations within 72 hours will result in a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations will not be honored after 4pm on the day of check-in and the guest will be responsible for the full cost of their reservation.
Cancellation of reservations for which payment was guaranteed or for which a deposit has been sent must reach the destination hotel by the local hotel hold time on the cancellation date indicated to avoid your credit card being charged or the forfeiture of your deposit. Cancellation numbers are issued at the time of cancellation provided the reservation is cancelled by the date and time specified in your e-mail confirmation details. Please make a note of the cancellation number for your records in the event of questions regarding cancellation of guaranteed reservations. A new deposit is required for revisions to reservations received after the cancellation refund due date. Any changes to the arrival date, departure date, or room type of this reservation is subject to the hotel's availability at the time the change is requested and may result in a possible rate change and/or service fee.

Revision/Cancellation For Room Blocks:
Cancellations for rooms that were made as part of a room block for special events are subject to the terms outlined in the room block terms with your individual event. Cancellations may not carry individual financial penalties, but may incur cost upon the coordinating party. Members of room blocks who choose to cancel their reservation are responsible for disclosure of their plans to the coordinating party. The Monte Vista Hotel carries no responsibility to communicate cancellations to the coordinating party.

We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.

Reservation Limitations:
Reservations with the Monte Vista carry a guarantees of available rooms. In the event that a room is made unavailable for use due to any circumstance, reservations will be canceled and guests notified at the earliest convenience. In the event of a hotel cancellation of a reservation, no guarantee is offered for accommodations at another establishment.

Payment Policy

Reservations require a valid credit card to hold a room. Please present your cards to be charged the full amount of your stay at the time of check-in.
