Terms and Conditions

Cancellation Policy - If you cancel your reservation 2 days before your arrival date, your card will not be charged. If you cancel your reservation inside 2 days before your arrival date, you will be charged 1 night of your stay. Any reservation cancelled 1 day or less before your arrival date will be charged for your full reservation and no refund given.

Payment – Payment for your full reservation will be completed upon check-in, a credit card will be held on file for additional extra charges or damages.
Security Deposit and Photo Identification

Guests are required to provide a credit card imprint on arrival for incidental charges. Where a credit card is not available, a $100.00 cash bond will be required. The length of the guests' stay may vary the amount of cash deposit required.
Valid photo identification must be presented at the time of check-in.

Damages - The registered guest is responsible for the behavior of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to our property and any costs associated with inappropriate behavior resulting in loss of income to The Shady Lawn Lodge, will be charged to the registered guest.

Rules and Regulations
Check-in Time is 3:00 pm and Check-Out Time is 11:00 am. After this time, an additional charge of $25.00 will be made. If you find it necessary to stay longer, please notify the front desk accommodation may be able to be made.

No Pets are allowed in the motel rooms without prior approval from Front Desk. If approved a separate pet policy applies.

Absolutely No Smoking in our rooms. Your card will be charged appropriate fees for clean up and for loss of income if your room has been smoked in. If it has been determined by evidence that your room has been smoked in, we will charge your card on file a minimum of $250.00 per room for smoking violations and cleaning fees.

Please return key to front desk upon departure, our keys can be reused and we would gladly appreciate the return. Failure to return the key will result in an additional fee of $5.00 per room.

Phone charges are free to local calls and long distance calls are $1.00 per minute. Calls can be placed by dialing 9 then your number.

House Rules
Guests and invitees of the guests are expected to behave in a manner conductive to the safety, comfort and convenience of the guests within the property.
A breach of the House Rules may result in the summary eviction of the offender at the discretion of the Manager.
A breach of House Rules includes:
• Noisy, offensive and/or unruly behavior;
• Damage to or destruction of property;
• Improper or unseemly conduct;
• Any act or omission, which, in the opinion of the Manager adversely affects or brings discredit upon the Manager, owner or the guests.
It is also a condition of your occupation that the owners/management of the premises are not liable for any omission, defaults or neglect for accidents or injuries to occupiers or guests visiting and damages to or loss of any property which the occupier or their guests bring on to the premises apart from any liability under the Travelers Accommodation Providers (Liability) Act 2001.

Complaints
It is vital that guests report to the managers as soon as possible (including after hours if necessary) of any incident occurring in the units or on the premises in order to ensure that the issue is resolved immediately and effectively. Please do not try to resolve the matters of other guests on your own accord.
Issues that could not be resolved during your stay, a written and signed complaint that must be submitted to the motel within 5 working days from the departure date.

Disclosure and Information Sharing
The lodge will only disclose your personal information, unless we have your permission to expose your personal information, where we are abided by law to do so, we are request by you to carry out the necessary services; we reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to an individual’s life, health or safety or a serious threat to public health or safety; and or suspect that unlawful act is or has been made and this information is necessary for any part of investigation in the matter including us reporting our concerns to the relevant authorities.

Otherwise, in order to protect your personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorized access and or modification, we apply standard industry safety procedures for confidentiality. If there are any outstanding charges to the lodge that has not been paid then the personal information is kept in our records until full payments are made. Once all accounts are clear between the customer and our lodge, we then further no longer need your personal information and if you request us to discard your personal information, we will destroy all your personal information from our system.

Pet Policy
We have limited Pet Rooms available. If you are traveling with your pet we need to know, otherwise you could be charged $250.00 for having a pet in your room without prior notification and approval. If you do not let us know you have a pet in your reservation notes, you may not have a room upon arrival. We are required by law to keep rooms that cannot have pets in them. Please note that The Shady Lawn Lodge may update and amend these Terms from time to time. If you have a question, or have a special circumstance not addressed here, please contact us for assistance.
The management at Shady Lawn Lodge is happy to welcome your pet when you come to stay with us. We strongly urge you to read these guidelines prior to bringing your pet to the property.

1. Restrictions/Responsibilities
Advise during your reservation that you will be bringing a pet so we can place your reservation in the appropriate room.
Up to two (2) pets per room reservation are permitted.
Your pet is NOT permitted to freely roam the property unsupervised. This includes your cat! Please see Pet Safety below for more on this.
Pets are NOT permitted on beds and furniture.

If left unattended in your room, you are required to advise the front desk that your pet is being left alone and
1. your pet MUST be caged/kenneled
2. You must provide a mobile number where you can be reached while you are away.

In the event your pet becomes distressed or disruptive, you will be expected to return to your room and attend to your pet.
You are expected to clean up after your pet. You must provide your own poop scoop or litter box, as appropriate and dispose of in trashcans.

2. Fees
A $10.00 fee is charged for your pet at the time of check in. This fee is per pet (ex. 2 pets = $20) this fee is per night. (ex. 1 pet for 3 nights = $30.00)
The cost of any damages caused by your pet while on the Shady Lawn Lodge property will be charged to your credit card. The best way to avoid damages is to know your pet and bring the appropriate supplies to avoid such damages. Persons not disclosing a Pet in the room will be charged a non-refundable fee in the amount of no less than $150.00. Examples of helpful supplies are leashes, kennels, chew toys, etc.

3. Pet Safety
The management at Shady Lawn Lodge would like to remind you to keep your pet supervised or kenneled, at all times while on and around our property. We cannot guarantee, or be responsible for, the safety of your pet if allowed to roam freely. Coyote, black bears, mountain lions, wild dogs and wolves are always potential dangers in this region and may even be attracted by a domesticated pet left unattended. We are also conveniently located near the main road; however, it is not so convenient if your pet is running around loose.
Please take care to follow our guidelines to ensure that your pet has as safe and enjoyable a stay as our human guests.
