The Sullivan House
The Sullivan House is an iconic location where guests enjoy the best of Block Island. Perched on a hill, The Sullivan House is surrounded by ocean views. Our stunning location is private, yet located right across from Block Island's best beach, and within walking distance to town.
The Sullivan House, bult in 1904, offers 6 historic rooms, all with ocean views. Guests enjoy our majestic wrap around porch, and breakfast served daily in our elegant dining room.
On the grounds of The Sullivan House, at an adjacent property, we offer 2 additional guestrooms - The King Seaview Suite and The Queen Seaview Suite. Breakfast is not included witht he Seaview Suites but can be ordered for an additional fee.
On-site activities include kayaking, paddle boarding, bike rental, beach access and more.

Check-in is at 3pm and check-out is at 11am.
All room rates are for double occupancy.
In the main house of The Sullivan House, Rooms 4, 5 and 7 have pull-out sofas. At our sister property, The Seaview Suites, The King Seaview Suite has a pull-out sofa. Pull- out sofas can accommodate 1 additional guest for $50 per night.
A 13% Rhode Island state tax will be added to all room rates.
Breakfast is included for bookings in the main house of The Sullivan House. The Seaview Suites do not include breakfast, but it can be arranged for an additional fee.
Children are welcome at The Sullivan House. Children under 5 are free, but need to be booked in over the phone in advance. For children over 5, there is a charge of $25 per night. For people aged 12 and over, the rate is $50 per night.
The Sullivan House and The Seaview Suites are non-smoking facilities.
Sorry, pets and support aminals are not allowed.
Payment Policy
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy
All stays must be paid in full at the time of booking. If cancellations are made in writing at least 15 days in advance of arrival date, a $30 service charge per room will be deducted and the rest will be refunded. In the 14 days immediately prior to arrival, the full payment is non-refundable and no changes are permitted to the reservation.
Because of credit card regulations, all cancellations for reservations within 2 weeks of arrival must be made in writing and sent to info@thesullivanhouse.com. Please note your confirmation number, name and the date of your reservation.
If you care cancelling within 2 weeks of arrival, your reservation is non-changeable and your payment is non-refundable. However, if we can re-book your stay to someone else, you will receive a gift certificate (less $30 cancellation fee per room) for any portion that we are able to re-rent.
For bookings of two or more rooms, advance notice of 6 weeks is required for multiple cancellations or changes to the reservation. All other policies apply as normal.
For Bookings through Booking.com
If you have booked through Booking.com, you will need to cancel directly with them. They will notify us in writing of your cancellation.
