Property Information
The Beetle and Wedge Boathouse is tucked away, and perfectly positioned on the most stunning part of the River Thames. The setting is unlike no other riverside venue which means you can switch off, unwind, and enjoy your precious time with us. The Beetle has played a huge part in many lives over the years and is steeped in literature history, from the Wind in the Willows, to Three Men in a Boat and not forgetting HG Well’s Mr Polly it has truly fascinated all that have discovered its true beauty. Our owner, Ben, has ensured that its character and charm has remained while adding his own magical touch.

Terms & Conditions
Check in is from 3pm on the afternoon of your arrival and we ask that you check out no later than 11am on the day of departure. Please note that our check in closes at 9pm. If you are delayed or not planning to arrive until later please call to let us know so we can make special arrangements.
All valuables that are brought on site are at the guests own risk. The management accept no liability and will not be responsible for any damage or loss and guests remain solely responsible for the keeping of any items.
Both the cottage and boathouse operate a strict no smoking & no vaping policy in all areas.
Checks are carried out by staff members to check for damages caused by guests staying in the rooms and a fee of up to £1000 will be charged to any guest that has been found abusing the rules or has caused damage to the cottage.
Covid-19
All of our laundry is laundered off site with an industrial cleaning company. Our housekeeping is done to a very high standard and all our cleaning chemicals are supplied to us from a hospitality trade supplier. We are paying particular attention to touch points but not limiting ourselves to; tv remotes, light switches & door handles. If you are staying multiple nights with us you will be asked if you would like us to refresh your room each day.
Masks are required in all public and communal areas unless sitting down at a table.
