The Birdhouse Inn is an ecologically-focused B&B on a vibrant forest farm overlooking Spring Green, featuring stunning natural vistas and a true farm-to-table experience.
From our hillside perch, our unique multi-level home welcomes you to the Driftless Area. We’d love to show you our two huge stone fireplaces, solarium, and an incredible, expansive western view over the Wisconsin River Valley. In our efforts to bring you a true taste of the region, we’re collaborating with several nearby farms to bring you a breakfast as fresh and local as you can get. Bask in the treetop sunset view from our extensive porch, hike the trails through the old oaks in the woods, and maybe even help us collect the eggs. If that weren’t enough, we’re less than two miles from both the American Players Theatre and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin studio estate and five miles from downtown Spring Green. The Birdhouse Inn is your perfect retreat or launching pad for a long weekend away.
Though “bed and breakfast” might conjure images of lacy old Victorian mansions and delicate antiques, The Birdhouse Inn certainly isn’t that. We’re casual, cozy, and eclectic - part farm, part hilltop lodge with an eco-minded sensibility. You won’t find flat-screen TVs or whirlpool tubs, but a two-story library, an assortment of puzzles and board games, and beautiful winding hiking trails will keep you entertained. Upon check-in, your resident innkeepers will welcome you and give you the scoop on the very best Spring Green area has to offer. You’re in for a delicious farm-to-table breakfast every day and a vibrant, serene rural atmosphere. We’re constantly thinking of ways to reduce our carbon footprint and responsibly manage this little piece of paradise.

Located up a private stairway in the original A-Frame section of the house, the Treehouse rooms feature beautiful original cedar panelling floor to ceiling and treetop views. If you book the Treehouse, you'll stay in the western room, with a private balcony overlooking the beautiful sunset views over the valley. Twin closets and a built-in dresser accommodate longer stays, and a full-sized leather couch provides an extra place to kick back and relax. On the landing outside the door, you'll find your private bathroom with large vanity, a shower, and even more cedar panelling. If you're traveling in a group, you can add the eastern room to make the Treehouse a suite. The eastern room features the same brand new queen-sized hybrid mattress as the western room, but tucked neatly into a cozy nook. Watch the light play with your lush forest view over the course of the day and curl up with a book after dark.

Terms & Conditions
Making a reservation at The Birdhouse Inn constitutes acceptance of all policies listed on the website and booking engines. The Birdhouse Inn reserves the right to disinvite guests found to be in violation of house policies or federal, state, and local laws.
The Birdhouse Inn does not allow pets of any kind and is not well-suited to host children under the age of 12. If you have further questions about The Birdhouse Inn's child policy and your specific situation, please do not hesitate to contact us before you book. Room rates include two guests, and all additional guests are $50/person per night, regardless of age.
The Birdhouse Inn retains customer credit card information for seven days, and reserves the right to charge guests for damaged or stolen property. All such charges will be documented and invoiced. Any personal or contact information supplied by the guest will only be used by The Birdhouse Inn and will not be given to any third party. In the event of a security breach, The Birdhouse Inn will immediately notify any customers affected but cannot be held liable for any resultant fraudulent activity.
Payment Policy
All reservations will be paid in full upon booking. Guests requiring alternative arrangements may inquire at thebirdhouseinn@gmail.com.
Cancellation Policy
Guests may cancel without penalty up to 14 days before scheduled arrival. Refunds will be made within 7 days.
Guests canceling 7-14 days before scheduled arrival will only be refunded if the room(s) can be rebooked, minus a $20 transaction fee. Refunds will be made within 14 days of cancellation, should a refund be due.
