Terms & Conditions

All rooms, suites, and apartments at Burgundy Inn are operated based upon the Code of Maryland Business Law Title 15, Lodging Establishments: Subtitle 1 & 2. Accordingly, to preserve the atmosphere of these properties and protect our guests and our property, all persons are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible manner and abide by the following:
* This is a non smoking property. This includes cigarettes & marijuana.
* $100 incidental deposit is required at the time of check-in. It will be refunded to the guest at the time of check-out subject to a room inspection.
* Parties and large gatherings are not permitted. Unregistered guests are not permitted in the guest rooms or the outdoor areas of the property.
* Only registered vehicles displaying a valid parking pass are permitted to park in The Burgundy Inn. Other vehicles may be towed at owner's expense.
* All units are nonsmoking. A cleaning charge of $100 per room (additional charge for suites and apartments) may be assessed if our staff notes any evidence of smoking in the room at any time during your stay. Additional charges may be assessed if room is not rentable due to residual smoke odor or damage in room. THIS INCLUDES MARIJUANA. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are not to be covered, removed, or dismantled.
* Ocean City's Noise Ordinance states: "It is unlawful for any person to make, cause, or continue any loud, unnecessary, unnatural, or unusual noise which annoys, disturbs, injures, or endangers the comfort, repose, health, peace, and safety of others at any time, day or night. No disruptive noises may be made between 11pm and 8am that can be heard from a distance of 50 feet from the building or structure where it is located. In addition, no loud noise from a vehicle may be heard at a distance of 50 feet from the vehicle at any time."
Violation of this ordinance may lead to eviction without refund.
* Underage consumption of alcohol and providing alcohol to underage persons is illegal and therefore not permitted.
* Pool is open during posted hours from Memorial Day until approximately mid-September.
Trespassing when the pool is closed is prohibited and may lead to eviction.
Violation of the noise ordinance (including the use of amps and speakers) is not allowed in the pool or tropical deck areas.
For the safety and comfort of all guests, glass containers of any type, alcoholic beverages, and smoking, in the pool area is prohibited.
Service animals registered with current guests are permitted in the pool area but may not enter the pool itself.
* The use of gas or charcoal grills, deep-fryers, candles, incense, and/or open flames is prohibited in all units and outdoor areas.
* Guests must maintain a presentable outside appearance of the unit they are occupying. The Burgundy Inn is not liable for loss or damage to any personal items left outside the rooms or in the parking lot.
* PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED in any rooms at any time. A fee of $100 per room will be assessed to the guest if this is violated and the guest will be evicted. Additional cleaning and/or damage charges may also be assessed for removal of pet hair, odors, stains, damage caused by scratching and chewing, etc.
Service dogs as defined by the US Department of Justice are permitted. Service dogs must be under control of their owner at all times and cannot be left unattended in rooms. "Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA."
* As determined by Management and/or Security Staff, violation of any of the above requirements may result in verbal warning, written notice of violation and pending eviction, and/or eviction of all guests registered in said unit.
* Immediate eviction of any or all guests in a unit will result if any of the following occur:
- Vandalism, theft, or trespass on hotel property, surrounding areas, or the property of other guests.
- Any action that threatens or endangers the safety of other guests, staff, or yourself.
- Entering locked areas of the hotel (e.g. pool after closing, laundry, storage areas, etc.)
- Any illegal or disruptive actions that result in the police being called to your room for any reason.
* We reserve the right to enter any room as deemed necessary by Management to confirm compliance with local laws and property rules and regulations, assure the safety of our guests and property, perform necessary maintenance, and assess possible damage.
* NO FIREARMS OR WEAPONS ALLOWED ON PROPERTY, EVEN IF YOU HAVE A LICENSE TO CARRY. IMMIDIATE EVICTION WITH NO REFUND.
* IF WE HAVE TO RETURN TO PROPERTY BETWEEN HOURS OF 12AM TO 7AM TO LET YOU IN YOUR ROOM THERE IS AN $80 LOCK-OUT FEE.
* KEYS MUST BE RETURNED AT CHECKOUT. $20 FEE FOR LOST KEY.
* NO REFUNDS FOR EVICTION OR EARLY CHECKOUT.

Payment Policy

A MINIMUM DEPOSIT EQUAL TO THE COST OF THE FIRST RESERVED NIGHT IS DUE AT TIME OF BOOKING.
Deposit amount may vary based upon the terms and conditions of your rate at time of booking.
All units do require a $100.00 dollar damage deposit at time of check-in which will be refunded to guest provided there are no damages to the unit.
Also, we are not responsible for items left behind. We do not have a lost and found.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact us at least 5 days prior to your check-in date for refund based upon your rate agreement.

Cancellations and changes to reservations booked online must be made through the booking agent used, in compliance with the terms agreed to on that website at time of booking.

If a room is cancelled less than 5 days before arrival, payment is non-refundable.

Reservations made less than 5 days before arrival are non-refundable.

No refund will be issued for no-show.
The Burgundy Inn will cancel the balance of the reservation without refund if guest has not checked in or contacted us by 8 a.m. the day after scheduled arrival.
