GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE NOTE: Covid-19 policies are subject to change and/or revision.
With the present program of vaccination for Covid-19, we anticipate that Maine requirements for out-of-state guests will evolve to include welcoming guests with proof of vaccination for the 2021 season. This has not yet been determined by the State of Maine, however.
As of January, 2021, Maine has three options for visitors from states other than Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont:
1) getting a recent negative COVID-19 test (further defined below); 2) maintaining compliance with a 10-day quarantine (PDF) upon arrival in Maine;
3) being exempted from the testing or quarantine requirement if you are a resident of the following states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont.

Revised STATE OF MAINE Covid-19 requirements for the 2021 season will be advised as soon as they are made available to us.

RATES are for single or double occupancy, and do not include the 9% Maine tax, which is additional.
All rooms have cable TV, air conditioning, private bath, and free wireless Internet access.

NO PETS: For the comfort of our guests, Central House does not accept pets.*
(*ADA qualified owners' service dogs are most welcome.) Call innkeeper to reserve: 207-288-1140.)
**Guests arriving with pets will not be allowed to stay, and will forfeit the full cost of their reservation. Pets are not allowed to stay in vehicles.

NO SMOKING on premises, inside or outside.

The State of Maine is strongly urging visitors to “Know Before You Go,” meaning they should get tested and receive their test results in their home state before traveling to Maine, which will allow them to take appropriate action depending on the result.
We are waiting for revised State of Maine revised Covid-19 policies for the 2021 tourist season .

Please call us no later than 7:00 PM on day of arrival, if you are arriving late,
so that we can make late check-in arrangements as our office is not staffed late at night.

FAQ For Travelers
What are Maine’s policies for visitors traveling from out-of-state or Maine residents travelling to other states? (Updated 12/7/20)
With the present program of vaccination for Covid-19, we anticipate that Maine requirements for out-of-state guests may evolve to include guests with proof of Covid-19 vaccination. As of January, 2021, Maine has three options for visitors to or from other states: 1) getting a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of arrival (further defined below); 2) maintaining compliance with a 10-day quarantine upon arrival in Maine; 3) being exempted from the testing or quarantine requirement if you are a resident of the following states: New Hampshire, Vermont. (NOTE: The exemption for Connecticut, New York and New Jersey ended Nov. 4, 2020. The exemption for Massachusetts ended Nov. 16, 2020.)

RE: ACADIA NATIONAL PARK, COVID-19 Response:
"Following guidance from the White House, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and state and local public health authorities, we are increasing access and services in a phased approach across all units of the National Park System. Before visiting a park, please check the park website to determine its operating status. Updates about the overall NPS response to COVID-19, including safety information, are posted on www.nps.gov/coronavirus."

Payment Policy

DEPOSIT POLICY:
To confirm a reservation, the inn's processing of a one night deposit by Visa, MasterCard or Amex is required. Your credit card will be charged an amount equal to one night's lodging, including tax.* The remaining balance, before gratuity, will be charged upon arrival. (Gratuity envelopes are provided in rooms for housekeepers' gratuities.)

*CONTACT INNKEEPER to make arrangements for extended-stay (over seven days) or multiple room reservations (whether booked individually or by a host), as these are subject to innkeeper approval and have different deposit and cancellation requirements,

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations received no later than 14 days prior to confirmed arrival date, will have deposits refunded less a $20 flat cancellation fee. Cancellations received after the 14 day, prior to arrival, date will forfeit the full one night deposit (including tax). Special Cancellation policies apply to extended-stay or multiple room reservations; contact innkeeper.
