GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE NOTE: Maine's Covid-19 policies, revised March, 2021 below for May 1, are subject to change.

As per the State of Maine: Effective May 1 the plan: Shifts Maine’s COVID-19 travel policy requirements from an “all states included, unless exempt” model to an “all states exempt, unless included” model. This means that travelers from all states are automatically exempt from Covid-19 restrictions unless otherwise determined by the Maine CDC.
Under this new model, the Maine CDC will be charged with identifying states that have a high prevalence of highly contagious COVID-19 variants. If one or more states see a spike in variant cases, Maine will apply its test or quarantine requirement to travelers to and from that state. This more targeted approach will remain in effect through the summer.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RATES are for single or double occupancy, and do not include the 9% Maine tax, which is additional.

ALL ROOMS have cable TV, air conditioning, private bath, and free wireless Internet access.

CHECK-IN: is from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Earlier parking possible by prior arrangement with innkeeper and vehicle and plate # i.d.) )

NOTE TO LATE ARRIVALS:
Please call us no later than 7:00 PM on day of arrival, if you are arriving late,
so that we can make late check-in arrangements as our office is not staffed late at night.

CHECK OUT: before 11:00 AM

NO SMOKING: on premises, inside or outside.

NO PETS: For the comfort of our guests, Central House does not accept pets.* **
*ADA qualified owners' service animals only are most welcome. Please call innkeeper to reserve: 207-288-1140..
**Unqualified guests, arriving with pets, will be denied service at the inn and agree in advance to cover the full cost of their forfeited reservation.
Pets are not allowed to stay in parked guest vehicles. Online "registration" of service animals does not confer ADA qualification to animal owners.

RE: ACADIA NATIONAL PARK, COVID-19 Response:
"Following guidance from the White House, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and state and local public health authorities, we are increasing access and services in a phased approach across all units of the National Park System. Before visiting a park, please check the park website to determine its operating status. Updates about the overall NPS response to COVID-19, including safety information, are posted on www.nps.gov/coronavirus."

Payment Policy

DEPOSIT POLICY:
To confirm a reservation for one room*, the inn's processing of a one night deposit by Visa, MasterCard or Amex is required. Your credit card will be charged an amount equal to one night's lodging, including tax. The remaining balance, before gratuity, will be charged upon arrival. (Gratuity envelopes are provided in rooms for housekeepers' gratuities.)

*CONTACT INNKEEPER to make arrangements for extended-stay (over seven days) or multiple room reservations (whether booked individually or by a host), as these are subject to innkeeper approval and have special deposit and cancellation requirements,

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations received no later than 14 days prior to confirmed arrival date, will have deposits refunded less a $20 flat cancellation fee. Cancellations received after the 14 day, prior to arrival, date will forfeit the full one night deposit (including tax). Special Cancellation policies apply to extended-stay or multiple room reservations; contact innkeeper.
