In 1945, Mr. & Mrs. John Schoenherr opened the doors of the Meadowbrook Inn on the site of what is now The Inn & More. Meadowbrook provided three acres of exclusive use along the Saco River for its guests, and served as the perfect basecamp to explore the surrounding mountains, rivers, forests and streams of Mt. Washington.

You'll still find the same great access to the best outdoor recreation in the Northeast, and the region has evolved to offer so much more today than it did in the early years. There's something for everyone, all year round.

In 2022, Kevin and Leigha Cleary purchased The Inn and began significant renovations. All of the guest units and areas were completely refreshed and upgraded — not only to preserve history, but so that The Inn may continue to host guests from around the world for many years to come!

Below is an outline of the cancellation policy for direct bookings at The Inn. If your reservation was made through an online booking platform like Airbnb or Bookings.com please refer to their cancellation policy.

No show = 100% of total reservation. 0% refund

7-0 day prior to check-in = 50% of total reservation. 50% refund.

8 days prior to check-in = 0% penalty. 100% refund.
