Introducing Yorkshire’s newest restaurant destination: Located in the heart of Ripon, The Old Deanery is a Jacobean mansion in the shadows of Ripon Cathedral. New for winter 2023, The Old Deanery is opening its doors as an exclusive dining experience, with renowned chef Adam Jackson at the helm. If you haven’t been to The Old Deanery recently, you haven’t been to The Old Deanery.

The Old Deanery has 10 bedrooms, which may be taken on either a bed and breakfast, or a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Stay the night and enjoy views of either the lovely garden, or striking Cathedral. Then wake to a home-made breakfast board of granola, yoghurt, continental bites, and cooked goodness: A breakfast with a difference, and the best way to sign off your stay.

One room has a sofa-bed in for up to 2 children, and the other rooms can accommodate one child on an extra bed (pop-up camping bed). The sofa-bed or extra bed can be added on to your booking for £15 each, and this also includes breakfast for the children. Dogs are welcome at £15 per dog per night and must be pre-booked. Terms & Conditions
CHECK IN: We endeavour to have your rooms serviced and ready for you to check-in from 3pm on the day of your arrival.
CHECK OUT: Please note that check-out is 11am.
NO SMOKING: Please note that we are a non-smoking property and there is £100 charge for guests who do not respect this request.
ROOM KEY: Please return your key to us on check-out. There is a £50 charge for a lost or un-returned key.
Payment Policy
Please note that we take pre-payment 7 days prior to your arrival date. All deposits and pre-payments are non-refundable and therefore we do recommend travel insurance. We accept all major credit cards.
Cancellation Policy
We offer free cancellation up until 7 days before your arrival. You will be charged the full cost of the stay 7 days prior to your arrival date, and we will not refund or transfer this in any circumstances. As such we recommend that you have travel insurance.
If you do not arrive for your reservation, we will consider you a “no show” and retain the full cost of your stay.
