Terms & Conditions

General

• We are a smoke/vape free and open flame free environment. Smoking/vaping is permitted in the yard or parking lot.
• Strong essential oils are not to be used (including the use of diffusers) for those other guests sensitive to smells.
• Guests are responsible for missing items from the room and will be charged for full replacement value.
• Guests are responsible for damage done in the room and/or common spaces and will be charged full restoration cost plus any lost revenue from being unable to rent the room. Strong or foul smells are considered damage.
• Children are welcome when accompanied by a well behaved parent or guardian and supervised at all times. Parents/guardians are responsible for any damage done by their children throughout the property. The B&B contains many antiques and breakables and is not really suitable for children. Many guests come here for relaxation and to be away from their own children, so please be mindful and respectful of that. Disruptive guests (of any age) may be asked to leave without refund. We do not have any toys, cribs, plasticware or any other baby/toddler related equipment.
• Any guest under the age of 18 cannot occupy a room without a parent or guardian. Children may occupy the Felix Room when it is open and connected to the Creighton Room
• Sorry, no pets of any kind are allowed at The Victorian on Main unless required by law.

Arrival and Departure
Check in is available from 3.00pm to 9.00pm (15:00 to 21:00) on the day of arrival. Check-in times outside of those specified must be confirmed with us prior to arrival.
We ask that you please vacate your room by 10.00am (10:00) on the morning of departure.

Breakfast
• Monday through Sunday morning - Continental Breakfast along with one or two hot items.

Reservations
• Two night minimum stays may be required on certain days (college/university major events, US and CA national holidays). If you are able to book online for one night, then it is acceptable. If you have questions, please call us.

Discounts
• Only one discount or promotion may be applied for each reservation.
• No discounts or promotions can be applied for any:
• The Victorian on Main Add-ons, Packages, Specials or Gift Certificates
• Payment made with a donated Gift Certificate from The Victorian on Main
• Reservations made via a 3rd party booking website/agency
• Reservations for major events (Homecoming, Fall Fun Fest, Paint Out, etc.)

Emails
• Our system is setup to communicate by email regarding your reservation. Please make sure thevictorianonmain@gmail.com is added to your address book/safe list/approved sender for your email application to ensure proper delivery. We ONLY send reservation related emails - never SPAM or newsletters. For each reservation, you should expect to receive the following:
o Confirmation Email - Immediately after the reservation is made. If you do not receive this, the reservation has not be completed or it has be caught up in your SPAM/JUNK folder.
o Reminder Email - About 14 days prior to your arrival. This will remind you of your upcoming stay.
o Welcome Email - About 3 days prior to your arrival. This will provide you with some information.
o Thank You Email - Sent out a few days after your checkout date.
• If your reservation is a surprise and you have special communication requirements, please contact us prior to making the reservation.

Text Messages
• We try to communicate by email, but if we fail to hear back from you, we may attempt to send you a text message to the number on file. Our text number is 618 919-0208.

Modification policy:
The following reservation modification policy is strictly observed:
• Modifications to the number of guests are allowed without a fee.
• Adding room nights are allowed without a fee.
• Removing room nights are considered a cancellation for the removed room nights and follows the Cancellation Policy for the total price of the removed room nights.

Liability
• We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.

Termination Policy
The Victorian on Main reserves the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, any individuals stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behavior or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (Please note that non-compliance of our non-smoking policy may constitute termination). In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, no refunds will be made.

Payment Policy

Your Payment, Cancellation and Modification Policies are determined by the Rate Plan you choose. If you reserved through a 3rd Party Booking Agent, they own the reservation and their Terms and Conditions apply.

Payment:
The following payment policy is observed:
• A valid credit/debit card is required to hold the room(s). We may run a special validation of $1.00 against the card which is removed after a couple days automatically by your card issuer.
• The remaining balance is charged to the card on file on the day of check-in prior to your arrival. You must let us know beforehand if you want to arrange a different form of payment.
• We accept cash and most major credit and debit cards. Cards that require a PIN are NOT accepted.
• Reservations for 3+ rooms or 4+ nights may require a non-refundable deposit of 25% 14 days prior to the scheduled check-in date. If a non-refundable deposit is required, this will be communicated to you in advance.

Cancellation Policy

Please update Cancellation Policy• We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, especially if we have turned away potential guests in favour of someone who has already booked and who then cancels. We do, however, appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can intervene, and we try to be as sympathetic and helpful as possible in such cases.
• Cancellations 48 hours prior to the arrival date are accepted without penalty.
• Cancellations within 48 hours prior to the arrival date are charged 50% of the total price to the payment method on file and the room night(s) are immediately released for rebooking.
• Cancellations after you have checked in are subject to our 48 hour cancellation policy. All nights within 48 hours of the cancellation are subject to full room rate charge.
• No shows are charged the total price to the payment method on file and the room night(s) are held open for you should you show.
• Cancellations and modifications made by you are not considered confirmed until you receive confirmation by us either via telephone, email or text.
• If any add-ons were requested and already purchased by us, you are responsible for 100% of the add-on prices and you agree that they become the property of the innkeepers.
