The Tuwanek Hotel is more like an old world, rustic Inn than a hotel. West-Coast style shingled siding compliments stained planks and cream colour trim. In summer months, a blooming and fragrant terraced style garden greets guests. The Inn sits right at the ocean’s edge on a historical piece of property. Stunning views and points of interest catch the eye from every direction. This boutique hotel offers something for everyone. Come prepared to fall in love with the area.

Luxurious Amenities include spacious, themed celebrity styled suites reminiscent of the old classic movies. They are certainly fit for the famous! Each imaginative suite is individually and appropriately named The African Queen, Casablanca and Sunset Beach Suite are each tastefully decorated with king and queen size canopied beds, fireplaces and claw foot tubs or showers. The ambiance at night is dreamy and romantic. Suites spill over onto private verandas. Each are picture perfect for soaking up the serene setting and ocean views. Sunsets are simply dazzling and a spectacular vision to behold.

At the Waters Edge Spa
We have an on-site waterfront spa which offers a wide range of spa services. Choose from relaxing massages, aroma therapy massage, warm stone treatments, facials, sea scrubs, wraps, pedicure & manicure services. Our spa Practitioners offer a professional attitude and exceptional service that you are sure to enjoy. You can book your spa with your room.

Activities and Things to do while visiting the Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast offers activities such as Sea Kayaking Tours and Lessons, Golfing, Sailing Charters, Power Boat Tours, Swimming, Scuba Diving, Air Tours, Hiking and Walking Trails, Fine Dining Restaurants, Shops & Galleries. Or listen to the rain while you curl up with a good book in front of your in-room wood burning fireplace.

Directions to our Luxury Accommodations:
Take the Horseshoe Bay to Langdale Ferry (40 min) which arrives in Gibsons, British Columbia. Just a short 40 minute Drive up the Sunshine Coast to Sechelt. Be sure to stop and explore Roberts Creek on your way to Sechelt. Turn right on Wharf Street and then Right on Sechelt Inlet Road. Follow the signs to Porpoise Bay Park and then on to the cottage community of Tuwanek. The hotel is at the end of the yellow line.

Going Green
Free electric charging for all guests of the hotel and spa. The hotel is green and gets about 25% of its power from 38 solar panels. We have a Tesla Charging Station and Smart Car Charging Station for all guests.

Water Toys
The Hotel has an array of water toys such as: Swim Float, Stand Up Paddle Boards, Kayaks, Peddle Boat, Row Boat. Life Jacks are provided and mandatory.

Breakfast
Breakfast in not included and must be added on the morning you want breakfast. Breakfast is $60.00 taxes included for two people each morning and is served to your room around 9:30am. Please let us know if you want to add breakfast.

Accommodation Booking Policies

The Tuwanek Hotel : Boutique Hotel and Day Spa Accommodation on the Sunshine Coast

Our main policy is to ensure your time at The Tuwanek Hotel oceanfront B&B is a truly unique Sunshine Coast vacation experience. Nestled in the natural beauty of the West Coast of Canada, and that this place always welcomes you.

The Tuwanek Hotel welcomes payment by Visa, MasterCard, and Debit Card. Book online to confirm your reservation for the Hotel and At the Waters Edge Spa.

Breakfast in not included and must be added on the morning you want breakfast. Breakfast is $60.00 for two people each morning and is served to your room around 9:30. Please let us know if you want to add breakfast.

Payment Policy

A non refundable deposit on a credit card of one night suite rate or 25% of nights reserved (whichever is greater) is processed at the time the booking is made to guarantee your reservation. The balance is due upon arrival and is charged to your credit card at that time. Reservations are guaranteed upon receipt of the deposit and a copy of your booking folio will be emailed to you for your files. We will honor your reservation by not offering your Dates or Suite to anyone else.

Cancellation Policy

Our Cancellation Policy is 14 days for on Suites, so please be sure to call within that time period or send us an email if you are not able to keep your reservation. We will confirm your cancellation with an email with your confirmation number. If you cancel with less than 14 days, we reserve the right to fully charge for all nights. Please note the cancellation policy also applies to reservations booked with Gift Certificates. ”No Shows'' and unscheduled early departures are subject to full payment for all nights reserved. All suite bookings Include (8%) PST, (5%) GST, (2%) MRDT.

Spa Cancellation Policies
Payments in full for treatment are processed at the time of booking to guarantee your treatment. A copy of your spa confirmation and time will be emailed to you. We kindly request 7 days notice for cancellations. No shows will be fully charged. Spa practitioners are not RMT. All Spa treatments have (5%) GST.
